I guess I don't understand how complicated it must be to add or remove zones from the Map UI. Eyevea has been around since launch and has a wayshrine, yet was only accessible through the Mages Guildhall portals until this last patch. Norg-Tzel, however, has been hanging in there like a sticky dingleberry since Murkmire, despite having no wayshrines in it at all and only ever being accessed via one quest. I don't even understand how it snuck into the Map UI to begin with, never mind why it's stayed there for years.

Grayhome is also on the map without a wayshrine.
they exist on the map because they exist which seems fine to me. i like being able to look at those zones from the world map.

Wrong. Eyeveya could be found doing a main quest by Mages Guild for YEARS. Only a lot of players simply never care to explore quest.

It was NOT "open" just now.

    That's exactly what OP wrote:

I'd also want a wayshrine for the Earth Forge, btw.

Not the map itself. The map locations list. Norg-Tzel has been there since launch for some weird reason and has no way to even get there. The Earth Forge, which actually has a wayshrine, is still not in the list.

odd that it's been there since launch but i guess it could be because Murkmire was planned for so long
Norg-Tzel is on the map itself though, it's east of Murkmire.

Earth Forge should be on the map and in that list yes

I've got an addon (um.... I actually don't know which one, I have so many) which shows both Eyevea and Earth Forge wayshrines (once you've unlocked them normally) - and of course, that's only effective on PC. If anyone really wants to know, I'll disable all of them tomorrow, and add them back until I know which one it is.

There are several locations, like the Fargrave City District or Norg-Tzel, that seem more like clutter. Norg-Tzel is the most egregious example and I completely agree that it should be removed from the locations map given that there is no wayshrine, we only go there for a quest in Murkmire, and there is no way to get back there afterwards (nor is there any reason to). Others, like the Fargrave City District, are locations we already have on the UI (this one being just Fargrave), just zoomed in or something. It would be like adding in a city district for each major location to the list if we had the same standard. There's no consistency, which I believe is the main problem behind such locations being added. It serves no real purpose. I hope ZOS takes a look at the location list and starts downsizing where possible, as the list is becoming more and more cluttered. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be for console players.

I'd like the list of portals on the right of the screen to bold the capital zones of the alliances because I can never remember.

Places I do go to are hard to remember, places I never go to on the map..... it's not the best ui system for a map ever invented....

I wish they would make the scrolling list box a little bit taller, so we can easily see all locations by clicking at either the top or the bottom of the scroll bar, as opposed to having to click halfway down to easily see the zones in the middle of the list.
