Purple Plan Cooldown <24 hrs

I got a second purple plan from containers 22:29:11 after the first one (in West Weald). However, there was a "daily reset" between these two times, which I still need to check for.

What's the shortest you've gotten a purple plan from a separate container after the first? It's obnoxious to test, but I plan to establish a lower bound of sorts sometime in the coming weeks.

Depends on the drop location, as different ways to drop plans often have their own cooldowns. I personally find that I'll pick up one of any type of plan per toon per day, but I've also found that depending on the zone, drop rules, and length of farming, I'll get multiples of the same purples a day.

That said, Earlier type plans and older zones (pre-elsweyr), did not have specific cooldown rules as the later zones, so I can say drop 4 purple old dwarven plans on one toon in a farming run if I get lucky. Newer zones with, for example, plans that drop from reward containers for WB, Delve, Incursion, etc., dailies I noticed only one per color per character per day, purples being rarer but following this rule if I get lucky.

Similar with purple motif pages, drop cooldown rules regarding how many and how often you can loot one changes with the zones, so one early zone could have no cooldown (purple dwarven plans from urbs), while one like Wayward Guardian has a hard once a day per account hard cooldown.

Its alot to take into account when comparing specific drops you are lookkng for, but important to note that not all drops are on a single global cooldown.

I haven't got any new furnishing plan, even though I went to places like Rustwall and checked every container, tried pickpocketing, entering houses etc. Is it just me, or the devs placed less containers in this zone, and made the drop rate for furnishings much lower? I can compare to Blackwood, High Isle or Necrom, when I got at least some green tier plans, and a blue one in the first week.

This is the loop I use in the outcast inn. Hope you get some good plans if you decide to farm there.

This info is from the youtuber/guild leader Arttea. I have found it to be accurate in practice. I just got the new beehive furn plan (blue) from the Outcast Inn kitchen, Just loot all the dressers and the backpack, go out/in the kitchen door, it's all reset! keep going until bored.

This is overcomplicating it. As far as I know, purple recipes/plans are on the same cooldown in the entire game. Same-style motifs are on a 20-hour cooldown in zones elsweyr and after.

I started in the Reach, switched to West Weald where the yellow line is. The two zones shared the same cooldown for green plans. They did not have separate cooldowns. Unless I see evidence otherwise, I'll keep assuming all zones share the same cooldowns (one for greens, one for blues, one for purples).

I got two of the new lucent crystal purple furnishings plans about 15 minutes apart at Mirrormor invasions, same character.

Less than five minutes apart for purple furnishing plans from containers, and also less than five minutes apart for gold furnishing plans from pickpocketing. On the same character, during the same (at the time) 20 hour game day.

Whatever the cooldown on purples is I can confidently say it is NOT account wide.

I ran 7 characters through Outcast Inn kitchen last night swapping character as soon as a purple dropped.

Every character got a purple and 2 characters got 2 when homemaker procced with purples.

Some were really fast some took longer, I did however end up with 3 new purple plans and this was all within around a two hour period with no daily reset involved.

recipes and furnishing plans are on the same cooldown. look again at your results...there are no cooldowns for greens/blues

Incursion events do not use the same mechanic as containers.

I don't think there is a cooldown (or least not of purples of different types) and if there is one, it is certainly not that long.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to play this week. I am afraid the devs will nerf this location, same they did with the delve in Artaeum and other places in Summerset. But I hope to try soon. Seems odd to me they allowed this trick, resetting the loot by using the door.

Outcast Inn only. Got them about 5 minutes apart. I'll be testing something else for a while, since it seems there is no hard cooldown for purples, at least when using Homemaker. Good luck out there!

homemaker can only give a second furnishing plan from the same source so it shouldn't be related
