Will new earnable reshades of existing abilities & new scribing spells be added in future updates?

I think this new system has potential for so much more, and I really hope they expand it to include a wider variety of spells. By adding more spells and combinations, players would have greater freedom in customizing their builds, allowing for more diverse and creative play styles. Additionally, it would be fantastic to see more earnable reshades for abilities, including class abilities, which would provide more customization and visual variety for players. I hope scribing continues to get updates like ToT, companions and antiquties do in each update.

More to the point: will everyone see the fancies, or will it be only the player who sees them? I really don't want to see everyone else's glitteratti stuff.... It's bad enough now....

I don't have any use for the system myself. But if everyone's Scribing "skill effects" are visible to me (on top of everything else) I won't be very happy.

In the lobby of a trial tonight I saw another player’s blue Vigor appear as blue, but their orange Barbed Trap was not orange for me. It looked like the default. They shared their screen in Discord so we could verify that the orange they saw was not what I was seeing.

I’m not sure why these skills are behaving differently, and I haven’t been able to test any others.

    Might just be a bug.

The descriptive text for the achievement "The pen is mightier than the sword" says that all the scribing stuff we are getting now amounts to "the initial scholarium expedition". So, it certainly looks like the devs are planning more in the future.

But how would they be promoted then once ZOS starts selling them in the d*mn shop?!

yet completing the so called intial scholarium expedition fails to give the achievement or, it seems, all the scribing materials.

info is exceedingly sketchy or non existent atm on these items.

fwiw, they seem to be visible.

was watching a healer doing the new tether skill a minute ago by the altar.

it would be nice, but with the current track record, for every 1 you earn in game they will sell you 10 more in the crown store

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

I would like to be able to have all the skills I use on a given character be the same colour so they fit together better, so I'm at least hoping there will eventually be more options, even for skills they already added a style for.

Of course my fear is they will all be in the crown store.

Yes. Hopefully there will be stuff like Werewolf Behemoth, Vampire Lord etc. not only hard to notice things like tinted Whirlwind, which I can't even notice the difference, let alone others. There's also a thing were people can't actually fully see your spells under certain (most?) conditions were you'd be with someone else doing.. stuff, so.

Also, they will monetize styling, so I fully expect to see a rainbow colored Arcanist beam locked behind a 8k crown crates bundle.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Hopefully it comes soon, because Scribing has been largely a disappointment so far, and the grind is unreal.

Here are some questions and answers from the AUA regarding whether we'll get more Grimoires and Skill Styles in the future:

The important takeaway is that we need to use these features (Scribing and Skill Styling) and provide feedback about them, especially regarding what we'd like to see more of.
PC/NA — Lone Werewolf, the Templar Khajiit Werewolf

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

Sadly but I really hope this ain't the case. They finally made cool stuff earnable and it's a great way to keep players happy and give them a reason to keep playing.

I feel the same way I like the idea of re-skinning everything to have a uniform colour scheme, feels more thematic. I'd like if I could change the colour of class abilities too.

Looks like we might then and I hope we do. They don't have to replace class skills but they can allow us to change the colour of them. Imagine a cold flame dragonknight or a warden that's more green? A nightblade that has monochrome colours, etc.

Would love purple Necromancer abilities to go with the Nobility in Decay aura lol

Would love if they expanded Skill Styling to also change models, like different Wereanimals for Werewolf, a different Spirit Mender for Necro or a different animal companion for Warden

    The more customisation the better!
