i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I popped onto the PTS, and I can find nothing in the settings that turns this off. So it will be forced on everyone.

And...this will probably mean I won't be purchasing any future crown store houses.

I'm sorry, I know that (on paper) that sounds silly, but I really do spend more than 5 minutes at a time enjoying the scenery of the houses I worked so hard on. If the limits had been increased to 10 minutes, or even toggleable to turn off, then I wouldn't have as big of a problem with it, but 5 minutes is too short for me.

And I don't really want to shell out hundreds of dollars for a digital house if I cannot enjoy it the way I want to. I'm sorry. I hope I do not sound ridiculous, but this is just really and earnestly important to me.

I'm so sorry. I know that there are more and bigger problems out there currently on both live and PTS, but these are my thoughts on this matter.

if theres no way to opt out of this thats going to be really annoying then

Well, guess I reinstalled the game for nothing :(
It took forever, forever for us to get 60 fps on consoles and now we are getting capped at 30 on every basically every menu? No thanks. I hate it when companies pass their environmental bills to the consumers, when even if every single player stopped playing, it would never amount to the pollution generated by rich people's private jets. Seriously, I hope you guys revert this, see you in a few years.

Just sounds like you'll have to wiggle the mouse/thumbstick more often to keep the game at 60fps now.

It's a good idea to save on energy consumption though.

The average PC consumes the equivalent of 175 kg of CO2 per year. Lets make it 1000 kg or 1 tonne for gaming PCs or consoles(even though thats probably ludicrous)

In 2022, private jets consumed about 3000 tonnes of co2 each.

Companies do those things to seem "environmentally friendly" but the truth is they are just passing the bills and responsabilities to their customers.

Are we able to disable these in user settings either in-game or on config? I really can't stand when my alt monitors suddenly drop to 30 fps in games when i alt tab, i go afk for 5-10 minutes a lot but really don't want to get a headache from my screen due to this.

game is 100 fps normally, but i modified ini to be 144-240 depending on monitor I play on at the time.

Simple fix for this! Change the line in user settings that's near the top from "1" to "0", it should be SET EnergySustainabilityMeasuresEnabled "1" by default.
