Since Today's Patch, Screen Goes Blurry After Fast Travel

As title states, PCNA. If I open my map to travel to a new zone, my entire screen becomes blurry afterward. Can't open any window (crown store, inventory, friends, guilds, journal...anything) except for chat to reload ui which works...temporarily.

Hi @Seminolegirl1992. Could you get a video showing this? It would be helpful to show the dev team an example.

Edit: I'm having a hard time recreating this. I'll keep trying though. I'm not sure what's causing it to do that because it's not consistent. I am using a Reshader and addons but neither have done this before and I'm not pressing any keys to activate anything to go blurry or for windows to stop working. Apologies for possibly wasting your time

Edit2: I found out how to recreate it. I travel to something instanced, in this case, Black Rose Prison normal. I click T when looking at group settings to leave instance. Then I open my map to travel somewhere else in the world. When I arrive, I cannot open windows and the moment I do so, my screen becomes blurry and the only thing I can do is reload ui, which fixes it. Will send you a video DM once I upload it (I was able to capture it).

That's a bug with the latest version of RaidNotifier when leaving BRP.

Roll back to an older version and it goes away.

Interesting. This has happened three times though, and only two of those involved BRP. One didn't involve anything to my knowledge.

I've had this, or something very similar to this, happen while inside my Snugpod. Everything gets blurry, the UI disappears and I have to type the whole reload command by hand since I can't click to auto-complete.

It's random*, very infrequent and I'd assumed it was caused by some add-on. I don't have Raid Notifier.

*I've had it happen after checking inventory, opening storage chests or even checking mail.

Ty. I just watched the video and replied to your DM. I'll post it here too, in hopes it will help.

The blurriness is the same, but I lose the UI. Due to that I can't do anything because there are no hitboxes/buttons nor menus. When the reload command doesn't work, I have to force quit the game.

I'm sorry for giving you false hope.

I've had this exact bug happen to me in Cyro when first arriving and opening map at wayshrine, then it crashed my game. It's happened to me twice, Only thing I can think of is something to do with the map. I opened the map in both instances it happened, and very shortly after travelling from somewhere. I use RaidNotifier as well. I like KMarble, lose the UI entirely when it happens apart from chat.

As a general rule: If you have the "screen goes blurry" problem, 99% of the time, it means that the map UI encountered an error (since opening the map blurs your screen and then overlays the map on top). And if the map UI encountered an error, it is almost always an addon problem.

tl;dr: "screen goes blurry" means "go find and disable a misbehaving addon".

I did notice some blur once today once, but it was same moment as a latency spike.

Otherwise, I do not share this experience

In my case the blurriness never happened after opening the map. I had it happen after checking inventory, storage chests and (maybe) mail. Always inside my Snugpod. I did suspect it's an add on, but cannot pinpoint which one.

I had this after using a wayshrine and also the map got stuck on screen and broke the UI when opened.

The solution was to disable my Advanced UI addon.
