    Personally, I would like to hide it as well. I would even spend skill points to do it. 4 total or one to hide each level. That way you could have the choice to hide it if you want but it would come with a cost of power or skill points. More choice is not a bad thing.

    It is a feature that has been asked for a long time with nothing being said/done.

    Might be saving it for when a vamp re-work is going to roll out and market it as an amazing new feature, that might even get added to the list of things a chapter consists of.

    Two birds one stone kinda thing.

    But hey the community has been asking for yonks.

    It's supposed to be a condition (curse/blessing/disease, whatever), and should be treated as such. Use a skin or live with it. I feel there needs to be some sort of limit to "freedom of choice". Don't like the looks of vampires? Conceal it or get cured.

    They just need to fix the visibility of the markings on vampire skin. Given how popular vampires have always been, it has to be a decent chunk of potential lost money. I personally for the most part avoid buying the markings because I don't want to waste my money on something that will be all washed out. Unlike a lot of the problems this game has, this would be such an easy thing to fix. Yes, I'm serious. They just need to change the layer ordering. It really is that simple.

    This is really the biggest "WHAaaa?" Part of this.

    [snip]

    Every time there's a new crate, new TESO stuff on the store - skins and tattoos are a big money/gem dump. Tons and tons of body markings being sold in the store for cash. Head markings sold separately from body marks, just to make sure you can get the most $$$ for what the player wants.

    Tons of players have bought markings, I'm sure, before they ever thought about trying out "Vampirism" in game. Unless you're a forum warrier - you'd have no clue the skin is so broken when it comes to things you spent REAL LIFE MONEY to use.

    So once a vampire - every one of those players now has to decide whether to stay a vampire and just avoid spending more IRL $$ on marks that won't work - or undo the skill-line so they can have their tats.

    A decision it makes NO SENSE FOR ANY VIDEO GAME to want their players to be in. WHY? WHY would you EVER want a gameplay mechanic that STOPS you (the dev/company) from getting paid more?

    And yea, the fix seems like it would just be a priority of layers! The fix SEEMS like it wouldn't take much (even if it was something else) to allow BLACK MARKINGS (as 99% of game marks are just black) to show up on a PALE WHITE skin.

    Just makes zippo sense. Less sense for every month that goes by - for every crate that gets dropped - more and more markings - but a gameplay mechanic (that provides stats that min/max players want) that KEEPS people from sending money on the new shinies every month.

    ~~~
    And you can all give up on the "no! vampirism choice should matter in game!" (more than just the stats) Whatever. It already DOESN'T MATTER. I ran around for half a year as a vampire, didn't hamper anything about the gameplay. The "Status" does jack squat for gameplay itself OTHER than the stat/skilline boost.
    But - If this was the single player version I would agree with you. I'm a big RPer and normally I would agree 100%. If the tatoos in game were free (Or just gained in normal game play) and did NOT cost EXTRA IRL money - I would agree with you 100%. Make your choice and have the consequence.
    But this is an MMO with a "Freemium" model and a cash store. People ARE spending IRL money on tats for their character and WANT to spend that money on those tats. And once money is spent, they want to be able to use them. Its just plain bad business to have a leftover mechanic like this that is just a reason for players to spend LESS money - in addition to the bad taste it leaves in every players mouth every time they can't use something they bought because "vampire" or everytime they turn vampire "off" just so they can benefit from what they already bought.
    Nothing logical, smart, or necessary in any of it. Just [snip] and bad business. Seems like an easy answer to generate more cash flow - but oh well.
    ~~~

    *Also - seems like the simple middle the road solution would be -- turn 'off' the visuals of the skin so everyone can use their tats but leave 'ON' the effects of the skin regardless of whether you can "see" it. Easy peasy - have your 'consequences' to vampirism and your tats. #duh #betsedawinning #Itdontwork

    I'm gonna have to agree with this one. The main reason I have always hesitated on vampirism isn't the extra fire dmg, or the health recovery reduction. It's the freaking aesthetics.

    for me its only a issue with khajiit and argonian

    You're a vampire, and vampires are meant to look bloodthirsty, pale, "dead".

    If you don't want to look like a vampire then don't become a vampire.

    What request is coming next? Turn off hair, fangs and claws on transformed werewolves?

    Greetings,
