I've been working on research on a new character for no reason so I'm excited about those scrolls

Yep, I've got the baby account with one girl on each PC server started researching, so these will definitely come in handy there. Not so much on the other accounts, but *shrug* - that's okay too.

100k gold is awesome! It may be chump change to many PC players but it is much more needed on console. It will definitely go towards finishing my missing motifs :) We shouldn't have to suffer due to PC's addon caused inflation

As far as the research scrolls, honestly I really need to work on my trait research to increase master writ drops

I'm logging on every day anyways, if you're just logging on for the rewards, maybe you will find more joy in another game

    [Retracted]

Add-ons are great, but yes, those who have long benefitted them shouldn’t complain about log-in rewards adding to inflation or alternatively say that it is a nothing reward when it is greatly appreciated both on console and I dare say the majority on PC who have not been playing long enough or with different goals than to be wealthy.

There’s an addon that causes inflation? 🤔
I rather think that addons like Tamriel Trade Centre help people find better deals, but anyway…

Gold is always welcome — many things can be bought in the game for which the price doesn’t change, and even those on traders, some go up while others go down. Currency is always a greater help to newer players, but it is still an appreciated bonus, or at least I appreciate it. :)

Addons like that one that does the writs for you mean people can make money faster, thus incentivized to do writs on more toons. And the addons that show where nodes are help people gather stuff to sell faster. So yes, addons do contribute to inflation.

Yeah exactly. Doing daily writs in one click, opening all coffers at once, addons that show where nodes/maps/treasure/chests/thieves troves are located, trading addons to spot flips, doing hundreds or thousands of master writs in a short amount of time in bulk with one click, etc. There's a reason PC has so much more gold.

I hate when PC players say we shouldn't have gold as a log in reward, or remove gold from daily writs, or things from merchants and upgrades should be more expensive, or there should be more mandatory gold sinks. And also I am sure there are new players on PC who could greatly benefit! 100k gold months are good months

Some of you speak of the PC addons as if they're a bad thing, but the fact is that many of them are adding features to the game that should have already been included. In other words, the addon developers are basically doing the game's developers' work for them.

    Yep.

I'd highly recommend that "Awesome Guild Store" be acquired and made available to all, especially console players.
This is one addon that lives up to it's name.

You don't know how AWESOME it really is, until it doesn't work (for whatever reason) and you are back in the Stone Age with ZOS' truly dismal default UI.

100k Gold is meaningless, you can get 100k gold, if you do ~20 your daily crafting quests.
100k Alliance Points would be a better bonus.

Not for me. I have no use for alliance points.

You’re right of course that the daily writ add-on makes them even easier, although the crafting is still not instantaneous (I suppose you could make it very fast indeed if you crafted things ahead of time, but the inventory space is more valuable to me). At least ZOS improved the interface for doing writs so you see what you need while at the crafting table and select quest-only if you like — no need to memorize! (I did writs for a while before using any add-ons.)

I believe those harvest map add-ons you have to populate yourself and they don’t tell you whether there is anything currently there. I never saw the point, and I’m always gathering nodes, but to each their own. Now the add-on showing survey locations is a great help! Even though I’m familiar with most spots by now, having the marker to orient to is a great help.

Yes, I can see that. A lot of PC players in this thread dismissing 100k and saying “just do writs on 20 characters”. Wealthy market moguls flexing? That’s really more the point, right? I was defending addons, but the point is more the attitude of some of those with all such advantages. And yes, I agree, I find 100k helpful even now and when a new player, wow, it made a huge difference!

I wish the research scrolls and riding lessons etc. were a currency and didn’t take up bank space at all.

But then how would they get you to buy inventory slots 😦

100k gold is no reward. It honestly isn't very much.
A million gold would be more appropriate as a 21 days reward.

100k is a LOT to a player that doesn't play the market, which is most. I have 3.5m myself and 100k is a cool chunk of change. Just giving every player a whole million is incredible overkill and would make gold meaningless.

Also you want item prices to skyrocket?

I have played this game for a few years and have around 2M. When I started, some kind players donated 5K to me so I can buy a Minotaur designed Hunting Rage level 30 chest (I have no idea Minotaur Motif went for millions, back then). I just like the look at the chest was on sale. To get that 5K is no easy task for a level 30 new player. ZOS giving 100K during their 10th anniversary will be REALLY helpful to new player.. even now, I want that 100K myself. I can buy some nice motifs. So, thank you, ZOS. This is a welcome daily reward indeed.

P.S. I'd think that the new player who enjoys the 100K may not know the worth of the wax and the other mats. I shudder to think that they sold it off to a Merchant or destroy them.

AP is basically worthless now days. There is nothing to spend them on now that's really worth it. I mean, it's still a currency, and you can get a little out of it, but nothing like it used to be. The golden vendor used to be a great way for PvP'rs to make money, but not anymore. The radical price drop of gold tempers gutted the value of the golden vendor, and AP at the same time.
