Hello, i have a russian friend that bought Eso on Steam. But those guys banned russian players, and he cant even buy the new Chapter coming, or upgrade to Eso+. Is there a way to export his account to Bethesda launcher with his characters. So he can continue to enjoy this game ?

he can not. "Those guys" will become "ZOS guys" and he still won't be able to buy the chapter.

Even with steam acc he can buy a code and redeem on a website or get it gifted to him directly in steam, which a lot of folks in not anymore supported regions do. ESO plus can be renewed from steam wallet page, doesn't matter if you can access the steam page for the game or not if he was subbed.

    Hey thanks colossalvoids,
That is the start of a solution i think.
I live in Belgium, so i just buy a euro steam card gift, and give it to him ?
And he can use it, in russia on his steam account ?
I got it right ? It wont be trouble it the Gift card is in euro and not Roubles ?

    Hey np!
Not sure about gift cards (as he can't access the ESO page, that's the main issue) but you surely can gift the chapter to the person directly and finding a way for him to make a pay back (gift anything else back as example), that's absolutely legal and many do so since couple of years to get new content. Alternatively he can swap a region altogether but would require a new card in some country that's not banned - steam reads your region by the last purchase you've made.

Edit: buying a code I've meant on a 3rd party website, one you can redeem on ESO website granting chapter access. Did so having steam account with zero issues previously.

Nice, but here is something else.... I tried the Gift system, but my account "do not have the ability to Gift items from the crown store". And i play since 2014 beta....

Is there a way to unlock that ability ?
Does the only option left is to get a redeem code ? How can i get one ?

Meant to say gift via steam, as chapters are sold for cash not like small dlc packs. If you want to gift an old one from crown store that's easier, but to be able to gift anything I believe you should have bought stuff there yourself and had a sub at a point, they've changed some stuff recently and I'm not sure what makes you eligible currently, can look up forum dev posts history.

Codes are sold on your local gaming platforms idk which ones are popular in Europe tbh. He could buy one himself still, pretty sure that's not an issue still.
