I am certain you guys were the reason I was able to get it so quickly. Thanks to @method__01 for the map and @virtus753 for reminding me that the double drops would help me.

I'd argue that the lead dropping from the rewards chest in DSA is the most maddening. I'm not even remotely interested in running 40-45 minutes of the most mind-numbingly boring content over and over again for a minuscule chance at a lead drop.

Worst for me was the RNG within RNG within RNG of Sea Serpent's Coil. I'm uninstalling if I ever see a writ again. Ban time-gated RNG. Haven't done the sabatons, got DDF while grinding other PvP gear in vDSA at least.

as it stands right now it only drops from psijic portals in soutner elsweyr, but the problem with that is psijic portals are functionally extinct in southern elsweyr
ya plot out a small circut of runestones to farm out to try and get a portal
you run it and farm constnaly for hours and all you get is runestones without seeing a single portal
so once again, can we get another source for the lead added to the game?
Update: I have been non-stop farming/hunting portals for almost 4 hours at this point and I have only encountered ONE psijic portal in this entire time, so maybe Zos should increase their spawn rate up from 0.0001%?
Update 2: 13 hours later only seen the one portal....what the fork is going on with this rng?
If you look at a map for this zone, its fairly easy to see where the runes are. The same thing with the Argonian Beads lead from Shadowfen.
Initially I had great difficulty with this until I looked at the map and noticed patterns. If you're used to farming nodes in Craglorn or anything like that you get used to leaning on the geography from time to time. Once I realized this I found the lead the very next day. Although yeah it still took a little while to find it on the same day.
That said, it makes sense ZOS ties the Mythic lead's locations in with the geography of certain zones. Really feels like you're more on an expedition and not just traveling between waypoints. What many interpret as being unreasonable is actually I believe working as intended.
