I do same with group because like they say play the way you want no matter what so why should I listen to players and not myself and the devs.

Play the way you want, unless you want to play in Cyrodiil with group sizes and population caps that existed in 2018 or earlier.

ZOS has done nothing but downgrade Cyrodiil. It feels like watching that going, going, gone meme for those of us who love PvP.

That's just not the case, group content has requirements set by the developers in terms of dps and heal checks - some a lot higher than others. If the group is not able to meet those requirements they can't do the content, which is where optimising builds come in.

maybe, but not the developer stopping player from walking in and trying in the play the way you want method. it is not impossible for certain high content to complete with not meta. but player often prefer this meta method and don't allow the creativity to shine in other. so, never an oppourtunity to test it, unless with a guild which chose to try the adventure of non-meta
