GTA V is about criminal activity and trying to avoid the law. A game for adults who think that kind of stuff is fun and maybe it is to some. Not my kind of game and surely not for minors. We all know that kids get hooked on those games and then act out in real life due to psychological issues. Highly ingrained psychological disturbances in kids requires intervention before bad things happen. With me I got to the right doctors my senior year of high school and began my medical treatment before it got out of control and here I am over 30 years later still alive with my issues in remission and no one got hurt.

    That’s a rather unfair and unfounded generalization…

The biggest GTA fan I know is a physiotherapist. She’s lovely.

It's not a generalization. It is facts and people who don't understand psychological or mental disturbances have no clue what it is like to have them and since my comments are getting personal and drawing out toxicity this is where I leave this thread.

I disagree emphatically. People have been trying to find connections between video game violence and real life deviancy for decades now, and the research simply does not support it.

I empathize with your perspective and agree that children should not be playing such games. However, generalizing an entire group of people, whether they be adults or children, based on ones own experience is not only unhealthy, but dangerous.

Assuming that someone has, or will develop psychological disturbances because of a form of entertainment they have consumed isn't fair those being judged by such statements, nor does it take into account the full range of individual human experiences.

History has shown us that making sweeping judgements in regards to a certain demographics psychological state can lead to other problems- misdiagnosis, treatments administered to individuals who do not need them, and wrongful psychiatric institutionalization among them.

Those who disagree with you are not doing so to be toxic, nor do they lack empathy for what you have gone through- they simply do not want to see others generalized and wronged, because misdiagnosis and accusations of having psychiatric issues when someone does not can lead to harm as well.

You seem like a very compassionate individual, and I doubt you'd want that. Please understand that while we are empathetic to what you have been through, your experience is not a reflection of society as a whole- nor does it need to be. You have gone through something extremely difficult, you are a strong person, and I commend you for wanting to protect others. But please do so with more caution, as generalizations can be damaging and cause harm as well.
    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

when this happens just dont panic later and apologize, yes you may have let yourself down but if you really knew how many good people get pushed over the edge in eso then its just a thing you got to accept it as a thing that can happen, everyone in eso had been on the recieving end of toxicity at some point or had to be present when someone else was...these kind of thing have washed off on other players over the years and people dont log into eso expecting to meet other nice people anymore rather more waiting for the next toxic avenger to come along so its really not unusual to see what could be nice people jumping the gun now in some situations
