Now Zenimax Won't Even Take My Money! Requesting £0.00 When I Try To Pay

I had an email last night while I was at work to say my subscription payment had failed, This was very strange as money was available. I have just got in from work and went to my account page to pay it. I tried using paypal and it went ok and my account status changed to Active, I tried logging in and couldnt as it said my account was inactive, I waited a few mins as I assumed it took a while to update, in the meantime I had an email to say payment had failed again!

I checked my bank and confirmed again money was available, I checked paypal (i used this method to pay) and it said a payment for £8.99 had been authorised. I then tried to pay using Visa, It went as far as the final step and then I noticed they were trying to take £0.00?!

I am now in a situation where paypal say I have authorised a payment (does this mean I have actually paid?) and I cant pay by credit card as they are requesting zero money!

Awesome.... 1 day off and cant play due to yet another problem.

Anyone got any ideas please?

    Its happened to loads of us. Just search my profile for info or search the forums. I've had over £60 taken from my account for a £8.99 sub! Just think yourself lucky.

    Put a tickey in explaining the situation, they are aware of it.

    Thanks for the reply, Just read up on it and opened a ticket, The paypal payment now says cancelled and that the money has been returned to my account, I guess ill see it in around 3-5 days when the banks process it.

    Really getting tired of all this BS.

    Yeah with me it declined my Paypal. I tried before maintenance at 4am to set up again with PayPal and it declined again so after maintenance I tried my visa/debit card I use for gaming and internet stuff and it seemed to work but read 0 days left. I logged in OK and played for a hour before logging out. Came back a few hours later and I was not able to login so I tried my wife's debit card and still declined. So then I tried by wife's visa but this time I tried internet explorer (hate it, usually use chrome) and it worked but.... :) always a but! On the last one that worked, they took £18 from the card instead of £8.99 which is like 2 months sub.

    I'm now left with hell of an headache and about £60 down although its really £51 because I have 28 days left. All this has left me feeling rather sour towards zenimax, they need to get the stuff together cause if the media get a hold of this it will be another nail in the coffin.

    I expect the money will be refunded but how many hoops I'm going to have to jump through to get there is another story. Oh and I lost my forum access for a day along with all the other people who posted in that thread that had the issue! I'm pretty sure that some mod locked us out so we didn't vent on here because at the time my sub was active yet it shown as lapsed on the forum.

    I got in touch with CS and they where very fast in answering and overall, helpful. I got my forum Account back after talking too them and I'm waiting on a solution for the £51 they owe me or need to release so my banks can pay it back to me.

    Good luck mate and let me know how you go on. Some of us do care and have a shred of empathy unlike the majority of people that seem to dwell on forums these days.

    The press do already know. One of my mates got double charged and has aready emailed a few media outlets. PC gamer and ING are the ones I remember. He was fuming mad, frankly I dont blame him

    Thanks for the shoulder to cry on guys, I had an email from customer service asking for paypal transaction and secret question about 3 hours ago. Nothing since.

    I have just preordered wildstar, the bugs and bots are one thing but sadly this is a step too far. I still want to play this but I'm not sure it will ever be what I expected it to be or what it should of been. Not another "I'm leaving" post, just a comment.

    In my opinion the ZOS should add for example 2-3days (or less if not necessary) of game time today to all accounts with that problem in order to save their reputation, so we will not be forced to resign of the game for longer time (weekend have already started...). Bugs inside game are one problem, but something like that should never happen.

    I don't want free game time because in all respects it was my own fault for keep trying but all I wan is my money back. If people are locked from the game because of Zenimax terrible billing system which is probably sub contracted out to one of those countries that pay their workers about 1p per day then you should get some compo. If they don't then I would sing from the trees because the last thing the game or Zenimax needs now is more people leaving as the games looking pretty bare already.

    Zenimax billing system is written in US, with EU credit card billing via a company called Global Collect BV (based in Amsterdam).
