Was that announced? When are they different? Obviously enough for my addon to catch it, even though I wondered why some had a special mark!

Well that's rather curious. The big bonus endeavor from yesterday (Kill 5 citizens with the Blade of Woe for 200 seals) has nothing to do with the Thieves Guild.
Boy, if you thought these daily endeavors were bad, check out this weeks weekly endeavor options. If you're not into PvE grinding you're out of luck this week. Super YUCK! Made me really glad we got so many easy high value daily endeavors over the last couple weeks for sure.

PVE grinding?
It took all of 1 quest completion for the Archive, ARC 1, and 4 additional stages after that. Like 20 mins tops is hardly grinding. And this is like two daily sessions in the Archive if all you are doing is ARC 1 quest and stopping.
You could literally just spend 2 minutes to do the first two stages of the archive each day, and complete 12 stages by Saturday.

Agreed. It seems pretty obvious to me that the easiest way to avoid disappointment with daily / weekly endeavors is to simply read them before doing anything in-game. There’s nothing arduous, unfair, or problematic about expecting users to check and see what they have to do to get their daily rewards before they actually start doing something.
Yeah, I should have read them, but I never looked closely enough. I figured they all gave the exact same rewards since they did on the times I did notice the rewards.
As was noted before, simply letting us complete up to all 5 of them would completely eliminate the problem.
And if "Complete a Trial" was the top reward (for example) it would allow you to get the bonuses otherwise even if you ended up not being able to get a Trial in.
An easy fix for this:
- Keep counting endeavors after the first 3.
- Give the different in credit for the others you earn if they are more than the lowest value one you already finished!
Minor change that would fix the problem!

12 stages is about the difficulty of a normal dlc dungeon and takes about as long too. If you're not able to be the final boss of Arc 1, you can rest the infinite Archive and just run the first stages over again. Those are delve difficulty.

Completely unnecessary, IMO. Why further trivialize an already trivial system? What would even be the point of tying different seal values to specific tasks if doing any of the endeavors would reward max seals anyway?
Easiest “fix” (I’m putting fix in scare quotes because there isn’t actually a problem here) would be to simply add a login pop-up alerting players to the fact that there are increased rewards associated with some of the day’s endeavors. Clicking the pop-up would take players to the list of endeavors. This would help those players who don’t bother to check the endeavors list before engaging in their usual post-login routines.
