The penalty for dying in PVP is just too much. Running back just annoys me to no end.

Sure there are forward camps, but as a lone wanderer or a small group you're just split up in skirmishes by death and the downtime of running back just takes all the fun out of pvp. If pvp isn't engaging such that you have to run back, basically just give free time to ZoS without reward, it just grinds away at my patience.

I love pvp. I love the combat, but what I cannot stand is that long ride back to a fort. Horses need to be lightning fast for PVP. And I mean lightning fast. People do not want to wait. I don't care about realism or whatever, but just a normal guy seeing this... it's going to be too much for people. You have to keep them engaged.

If I die once and I have to run too far? I'll just say screw it and go back to questing. I simply do not have the patience for it. I guarantee you this pvp system will fail for the masses unless you make it more timely for them to get back into the action.

This game has no gear degradation in PvP, no XP loss, no need to run back to your corpse, no death sickness cool down, the option for friends to revive you on the spot, and camps that you can buy to revive a whole group....

    But running is hard.

I'm actually very pleased with the system atm.

This forces you to join organized groups that will rez you after fights if you win the engagement - or the whole group dies if you lose. This makes PVP a lot more tactical and engaging.

This prevents zerging to a degree. If you are just able to spawn directly at the battle, siege etc. it won't end and turn into an infinite zergfest.

What's the point in defending a keep if you lost all the resources and can't respawn but the attackers keep coming.

It would take the whole realism out of pvp and ruin it.

Nothing wrong with running for a little bit. Buy a horse and stop complaining.

This. The death penalty in PvP is really, really light right now.

The simple solution is a great idea. Now if only that were possible.

The penalty for dying in PVP is way too low. Please make some gold loss when killed by player.

The penalty for pvp death is almost non existent. A bloo bloo, you have to run back. Whoopty do.

Your suggestions would actually ruin pvp. I guarantee that your suggestion would make pvp fail much faster than the current system.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

OMG OP - you're whining about running in pvp when you die - when just fighting in pve costs players gold?

eh, I don't think we need to even worry about the penalty. I am ok with the way it is, only thing that bugs me is that its a land of zerg, or death. I am great with the playing with others, but as its been pointed out, Cyrodil is just not really a hopping place right now.
I have to say, I am not thrilled with the log in to find usually its ran by a zerg of the other faction, with only one or two ( no not literally ) peeps of mine on, and when you do sally forth to meet in battle, its those vs the zerg of the V+++

forward camps. try some organized pvp

and really? this is a thing? are we at the point that we think there should be NO penalty for death? you should just POP right back into battle?

the way it is now feels like you are actually accomplishing something as you widdle down the enemy while you defend. It feels like you are actually killing players.

OR you could just change campaign to one with moderate to high population.. If you cant switch home campaign just use a guest one and try different until you find one you like and save up 100k point and switch your home campaign to it.. or wait 90 days until campaign ends.
