Sure there are forward camps, but as a lone wanderer or a small group you're just split up in skirmishes by death and the downtime of running back just takes all the fun out of pvp. If pvp isn't engaging such that you have to run back, basically just give free time to ZoS without reward, it just grinds away at my patience.
I love pvp. I love the combat, but what I cannot stand is that long ride back to a fort. Horses need to be lightning fast for PVP. And I mean lightning fast. People do not want to wait. I don't care about realism or whatever, but just a normal guy seeing this... it's going to be too much for people. You have to keep them engaged.
If I die once and I have to run too far? I'll just say screw it and go back to questing. I simply do not have the patience for it. I guarantee you this pvp system will fail for the masses unless you make it more timely for them to get back into the action.
