an idea to balance out the massive compensation.

my idea is to have at least 5 returning crown crates that was planned like 4 months down the line for this year to be added to the crown store for crowns, crown gems, and seals of endeavors for a period of like 1 week. that way it will likely increase the likelihood that those who was rewarded with those 16k seals of endeavors as compensation would have a higher chance of spending that on those crates. people will have 5 crates to choose from and Zos could make a comeback from the massive financial loss they suffered over the last few days.

so what does everything think of this idea? you can correct me if needed.

I don't think anything needs to be "balanced out" really but it would be nice to see some crates that haven't been around for a while. My seals have been building up because nothing in the recent seasons have been appealing.

Zos isn't making money off of those spending their 16k on items, what are you talking about? :D Also, do you have access to official financial records or something?

no of course not but its obvious Zos is likely taking a big loss from all this. I'm only giving my own idea to this.

Why are some people against this compensation? It doesn’t impact those whose accounts were not locked. The “amount” of compensation is between ZOS and the affected players.

@oldbobdude the problem isn't the compensation itself ... it just seems "unfair" (nothing against the affected players not their fault that it happened) that they're getting the 16k endeavors which are worth around 500 bucks

I'll take my thousands of purple boxes with millions worth of mats and motifs earned over the 16k seals the locked out folks are getting, to be honest.

I'm glad they are being compensated, but I wouldn't trade places with them.

Unfair to who? The people who weren’t impacted?

No matter what, there was going to be a group of people who were ticked off at ZOS. Faced with that choice, I'm glad they chose to tick off people who didn't have anything bad happen to them at all, rather than people who had taken a hit while trying to check out & test the content so many of us have been getting hyped about.
Nobody's going into your stuff, taking it, and giving it to someone else. Give yourself an ulcer over it, if that's what does it for you. I, on the other hand, am glad that they're making a real effort to make it up to the people affected by the PTS lockouts.

the thing that bothers me is They were Not playing in the event.

they were playing PTS. Whatever the ban reason was, was from PTS. One person even remarked that they had not begun to farm Any of the rares yet, and now they have all of them for no effort.

If they were not making an effort to do the work, why do they get Main game rewards from a PTS issue?

I had been farming as much as I could every day and only got 2 pages. I was farming before the PTS went up and took a small break for 5 minutes to check motifs on the PTS before going back to live and continuing to farm until the server went down. You are making massive assumptions about people whose situations you know nothing about. It's like me accusing people of not putting any effort because they took a break to eat lunch or use the bathroom or be with their family during the event. Does that sound logical to you? lol

Because they gave BEEN LOCKED OUT OF THE GAME SINCE MONDAY.

People STILL aren't able to access the game. Raids are getting canceled, raffles and prizes delayed, traders not getting their bids, etc, and unless zos is able to pull off a hail mary, tomorrow's events will be affected too.

Let then get a shiny horse for their inconvenience, geez.

As one of the players effected, I'm still not sure why the 16k endeavors is such a huge deal?

Honestly, I have around 31k endeavors already on NA and around 13k or so on EU just from playing the game for way too many hours a week. So another 16k to sit around being unused, won't really change anything for me.

I can't 'do' anything with them except buy some bound cosmetic stuff, which won't earn me a dime of in game gold.

Actually it's the same with other rewards, it's all bound cosmetics, how is that impacting anyone else's game?

While I DO love getting the rest of the bound style pages from hell that I hadn't farmed up yet. I'd probably still rather have the mundane runes and heartwood that I was earning from the daily event boxes.

I went to PTS so I could see all the new homes, and because of that I to this day, still can't log in to farm for mats. So at the end of the day, none of these rewards, which are all cosmetic, really help me make up what I lost (tons of potential mats for building out homes).

As for the rest of the rewards:
I'm already an ESO+ member, a free month means nothing to me.
My alt account already has Necrom, free code is nice, but not needed.
I've already got pretty much all the parts for the event horse anyways, as a matter of fact my alt account already HAS the horse since it wasn't locked out.

That being said and done, I still think ZOS did a good job in trying to come up with a fair compensation that will please the maximum number of the players that were locked out. <3

I'm pretty invested in both the game, and this event, so to assume I'm not, 'simply' because I tried out PTS, like most people hyped up about the new chapter would do, just seems 'wrong'.

I seriously never expected to see people MAD, not because other people lost out, but because they didn't gain anything too...

Unfair is to be locked out for days of a game you really like because of some greedy fetchers exploiting a, say, technical oopsie. Their compensation doesn't affect in the least those who were able to stay in the game during these messy days.

"Impacted". I would have loved having my account locked for a week if it meant I got 16,000 Seals. I have other games I play anyway.

I think it is great that you seem to have chosen your apex mount aready :)
I guess I can get your feelings. But it's no hurry. These endeavour coins won't expire.
Crates return to the stock time to time, so I'm sure you'll be able to get what you like after some time.

I think the compensation doesn't require any "balancing". I see no imbalance there.

Well, it wasn't some kind of deal or trade. People were locked out of game suddenly, without asking them if they agreed, without predicting a strict deadline or offering anything instead, just for technical purpose. It was totally different.
That's why the compensation had to be good.
I see people envy. That means it is good enough :)

Anyway, looking back, I honestly wouldn't want to be locked out of game like them. I don't like being a victim of technical purpose. There's a huge risk of dissapointment despite any compensation. I don't wan't to be disappointed in the game I love.

That's unfair. It takes half year efforts to get 16k endeavor, and they just get blocked for weeks to get it.
    It's too much.
Compensation is needed but not for 16k.

Didn't you get your style pages with little effort involved like you boasted in multiple various topics? I find it funny that you would make this specific argument.

Concerning this discussion, having multiple returning crates at once might be a good thing, if it doesn't push back these crates in the order they would naturally appear over the time.

What about get us free and dont gives us nothig but remove what all the players on NA got since monday at 9 am?
Is balance what you want? This looks balanced. Or remove all your progress for one entire week looks too stong?

If you say yes, then why we should lost one entire week of event and get nothing?
