the thing that bothers me is They were Not playing in the event.
they were playing PTS. Whatever the ban reason was, was from PTS. One person even remarked that they had not begun to farm Any of the rares yet, and now they have all of them for no effort.
If they were not making an effort to do the work, why do they get Main game rewards from a PTS issue?

Unfair to who? The people who weren’t impacted?

"Impacted". I would have loved having my account locked for a week if it meant I got 16,000 Seals. I have other games I play anyway.

As one of the players effected, I'm still not sure why the 16k endeavors is such a huge deal?
Honestly, I have around 31k endeavors already on NA and around 13k or so on EU just from playing the game for way too many hours a week. So another 16k to sit around being unused, won't really change anything for me.
I can't 'do' anything with them except buy some bound cosmetic stuff, which won't earn me a dime of in game gold.
Actually it's the same with other rewards, it's all bound cosmetics, how is that impacting anyone else's game?
While I DO love getting the rest of the bound style pages from hell that I hadn't farmed up yet. I'd probably still rather have the mundane runes and heartwood that I was earning from the daily event boxes.
I went to PTS so I could see all the new homes, and because of that I to this day, still can't log in to farm for mats. So at the end of the day, none of these rewards, which are all cosmetic, really help me make up what I lost (tons of potential mats for building out homes).
As for the rest of the rewards:
I'm already an ESO+ member, a free month means nothing to me.
My alt account already has Necrom, free code is nice, but not needed.
I've already got pretty much all the parts for the event horse anyways, as a matter of fact my alt account already HAS the horse since it wasn't locked out.
That being said and done, I still think ZOS did a good job in trying to come up with a fair compensation that will please the maximum number of the players that were locked out.
I'm pretty invested in both the game, and this event, so to assume I'm not, 'simply' because I tried out PTS, like most people hyped up about the new chapter would do, just seems 'wrong'.
I seriously never expected to see people MAD, not because other people lost out, but because they didn't gain anything too...
