Usually we have the Chapter reveal stream and we learn that PTS is on the following Monday but with the Amsterdam event we haven't had a reveal stream so... when is PTS? I've seen people setting up trial rosters for PTS already.

    Do we need to buy the chapter to be able to check out the new trial?

    But why? They should just hold on to the chapter and skip the hassle of PTS...

    It's pointless anyways. Do patch fixes early after release.

    IIRC the first few rounds of PTS you do not, and then they activate the restriction later on.

    There are big issues that don’t get fixed from PTS but there also are things that do. It’s not pointless but I think it actually should be longer.

    They announced 15th as a PTS start day during amsterdam stream. Don't remember which exact segment tho.

    Yes, tomorrow the PTS gets the big chunk of the Gold Road chapter. They will do a character copy but I am not sure which goes first. If all goes well it should be ready mid to late afternoon.

    Thanks - I usually create a new toon for the PTS when it hits this point. I want to experience the chapter instead of being able to walk through it with a maxed out character.

    I do this too. Play the story on PTS this week, listen to voice acting and immerse myself in a quit environment.

    Then when it goes on live server I usually rush through it in an hour and skip everything. On live it is way too crowded to enjoy the story and immerse myself and I don't want to wait another month for things to quiet down again.

    There are big issues that don’t get fixed from PTS but there also are things that do. It’s not pointless but I think it actually should be longer.

    But basically the Ithalia patch release has been one big PTS upto now. The PTS for last patch did nothing. I can be almost 100% sure that none of the feedback will be listened to in this PTS cycle.

    Somewhere in the autumn they have enough info for what happened. So in other words, why even have "Pointless Test Server"...

    I am not even going to skip the tutorial. I want to see how ZOS implemented the portal to Gold Road into the game. When the game hits the live servers in June it will be overcrowded as mentioned for a while until a lot of the players drop out or move on due to bugs found on the PTS make their way over to the live. Happens every time.
