Cancelling accounts of botters?

Jim_McMasterub17_ESO
Noticed the last thread got closed by a mod, but not answered by one.

Apparently because it got out of hand. There are those on the boards who can do that it seems.

I would like to ask though, again, & have it answered.

"Are you cancelling accounts of botters, or just removing the bots from the game? "

Because if ZoE is doing anything but cancelling accounts, it's useless & we all know it; including them.

Are you actually depending on botters & gold sellers to offset the subscription numbers you just lost when the 30-free days ran out?

You were asked again & again what the policy is on such, & the thread was closed before you answered the question.

I asked the original question. I'm with you. I would like an official statement on this as well. The silence speaks loudly though. If your banning accounts then just say so, otherwise I'm going to assume the rumors are true and you are just deleting characters allowing the botters to just make more characters. Where are the GM's lately ? For a few days we saw GM's in game. I haven't seen one in a while now and I see plenty of bots.

Not only should they ban the account. they should also charge them a fee ( only bots and gold sellers). Hit them with at least a $30 fee for the time it took someone to investigate/ban them.

Even if it's illegal to do that? That would seem a bit of an odd thing for a company to do. Even if they put it in thier tos it would still be illegal. Bit sounds good but not especially practical

yeah. I guess it is for bots. Depends on how you look at it for gold sellers. They have no right to make money off of ESO, so I say hit them where it hurts.

Now that banned accounts get removed from your ignore list, it shouldn't be long before players can deduce the answer to this themselves. However, it is disconcerting that ZOS has actively chosen not to answer this question, despite it being asked multiple times.

Worst case, scenario, botters can only make x characters per account before they run out of slots and the account is worthless. Still, banning the account should slow them down more than simply banning a character.

Unfortunately that just means whomever credit card info they stole will be charged more

I posted a forum interaction yesterday that was deleted by the mods. It was from a hack site, and one of the posters was complaining of just how quickly he was permanently banned - though he then noted he was happy to have three other accounts ready to go.

So we know they're doing something, though the botters aren't slow with their own countermeasures.

HUGE groups of bots ruining Crosswyche now. You step out of the inn, & your quest to help the townsfolk avoid being harassed by the enforcers is immediately fulfilled because there are fifty bots flooding the town killing everything in site.

Soon as you enter the mine to finish the quest, same thing, another group of twenty+ bots streaming from one end to the other.

NO way there are enough people buying gold or accounts to make it worth the gold farmers having to re-up their account each time.

Here it is, the ninth... you've left them alone to pad your numbers against the mass exodus that has occurred with the end of free days.

I hope those of you "responsible"

    Step 1: buy account (paypal)
Step 2: create char and bot
    Step 3: sell/transfer the gold

Step 4: YOU GOT BANNED ! bye bye
Step 5: Ask paypal refound (they don`t rlly care about TOS just product working or not) and go to step 1

    Solution 1: don`t buy gold!
Solution 2: put valuable items on end game areas not on LVL 3 AREA ffs??

How can you put same value on lvl 1 and endgame materials?
What was on your brain when you allowed lvl 1 mats to be refined in endgame mats?

Ask yourself why every bot in the world is here?
Couse is so easy to create a lvl 3 naked toon and make money with him

It is clear that the frustration with us honest players is high and ESO needs to be open about what they are doing about this problem. We have considered what was mentioned above by Jim and if these keeps going, I see a future of ESO full of bots and no players.

They can`t charge them a fee couse is Illegal like this guy sad.
There is more...ban them faster than 30 days and they get full refound.

With full refound they will buy another copy and bot again for the first 30 free days.
Best part: they can bot in about 5 min after login.
No gear/lvl needed to do that couse all the gold is right in first lvl area.

I saw they started to lvl up a bit and reason is : too many bots on low lvl areas :)
