Because This Thread has gone away from the first page in support forum I think it needs second for bumping.
My honest opinion on this issue is:

Test to US
97300416.png

Test to Frankfurt
97300594.png

As you can see it is done not in prime time, in prime time i have about 0.5~1 s lag ...

I have no idea why you made another thread.

I hope they take longer to move it now because of all you impatient people. Do all of us a favor go into a foreign country where your company isn't based in, find a place/build a place to house a data center, find qualified ppl to employ for the data center, train those ppl you just employed, get hardware for the data center, set up and configure the data center, and then move a server from 1 country to another. Let us know how long it takes you. Thanks!

The fact that it's not on the first page anymore might be an indication that people have more pressing problems...

Making another thread about this is worth a /golfclap...
The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

Not sure if to agree because you bring common sense or to LOL because you bring it on this forum.

Will do. I will also make sure to do it at the time that people in that region actually start paying for my service that I provide to them.

It's no longer on the first page anymore because the thread has become unable to be bumped... maybe it got too large?

Hence why the OP started this one.

im just sick and tired of seeing these threads and all it is is very impatient people who do not/ will not understand what it takes to make a data center etc. in a foreign country where your company doesn't have an office. not to mention all the legal stuff they have to go through. I get its frustrating and lag sucks but hey at least they let you play at launch instead of made EU wait till their data center was ready.

take my post as common sense or LOL. It's up to you honestly :P

lol. See then what if you have your parent company saying hey the product has to be released no matter what on XXXX date. Then what if your data center isn't ready because of building issues/legal issues by XXXX date??

That would all be very valid arguments if Zenimax didnt already have offices (and studios) all over the world, lol. Yes, including Frankfurt where the rumoured datacentre is.

Launch gets delayed? Have you ever heard of an EU server being hosted anywhere other than the EU? How many years did they need? Companies with much less resources manage to do it on time.

If your reasoning is correct what does this say about management at ZOS?

As it is even if ZOS launched the EU servers tomorrow thier credibility in the EU will have been permanently blemished due to this mismanagement, delay, and lack of clear communication.

Your assuming that Zenimax has the power to delay the launch when in reality only the parent company can delay the launch. For instance TOR should have been delayed but EA wouldn't let them. Because they wanted their game to be launched right when SWG shut down for good. How do you know that they started building/legal stuff on the data center years ago? how do you know they didn't start it in Jan?

You referring to these companies "with much less resources" is funny. those companies own their own stuff. What I mean by that Yes ZOS owns ESO but they don't own Elder Scrolls. So they can't just do w/e they want with the game as the other companies can. Also there are a lot of legal issues with in that. Ranging from licenses to contracts to copyrights and trade marks. Getting permissions to use anything related to Elder Scrolls.

Your problem is thinking ZOS and Zenimax Media INC. are 1 and the same. they are not actually. ZOS is a sub company of Zenimax Media INC. Sure they have other studios (also sub companies) owned by zenimax media Inc. all around the world but ZOS doesn't so they have to get people to be employed in ZOS, trained, and what not so my argument is still valid...

Doing a quick google search only thing i see being owned by ZOS is MD office and Support center in Ireland.

Stop thinking ZOS is Zenimax medi inc. When it is not.

You're being ridiculous by trying to justify the poor management of this game's EU server launch on some byzantine parent/daughter company relationship where no one is responsible... please.

Even if you were right, and you're not, ZOS should have been responsible enough to communicate "due to our impossibly complex relationships with various subsidiaries we're simply no longer competent enough to launch an EU server in a timely manner, but it's a priority for us to have the EU servers up and running within 3 months... here's the actions we've done... blah blah blah."

He made another one because it is obvious that the other one does not go to the top anymore when people reply to it. Obviously ZoS does not want their customers seeing that they are as transparent as a brick wall covered in peanut butter.

Hi, folks. We know that our players are eager to hear more about when we will move our European datacenter, however we ask that you please not post new threads meant to bump a topic. We want to assure you that we are actively reading player feedback and questions from across the forums. Even if a thread isn't on the front page, we'll still see and monitor it.
