Moderator Response Requested: Am I going to be punished for subscribing with game time cards?

EverQuest had this weird policy where you couldn't get loyalty crowns if you used game cards instead of credit cards. Oh sure, they let you play just fine with the cards, but somehow it wasn't "good enough" to count as a loyal subscribed customer.

Seriously, when I buy a game time card and I pay the same amount for it that I do for a subscription, I expect to receive the same benefits. You guys are the ones that issue them and you control when they are activated and how many are out there.

That being said, it should be seen no differently than any other form of payment. This includes paypal as well. So, what is ESO's policy on this? Do you guys differentiate between payment types and how they affect our accounts?

Mr. Seagie Weagie is curious too. Caw!

As long as you redeem those cards before your time is up then you i wont experiance any service interruption. this is the only drawback to not autopaying

Not sure what Everquest and its loyalty system is but there's no such thing here so pay however you like.

Well considering their are no "perks" right now for subbing, except having access to the game, then what advantage/disadvantages could there be?

Should the game go F2P (and it better not!), then that may be a different story with game cards vs a monthly payment. The game card would probably just equal store cash
