But I will agree, bots are much more of a problem in ESO than they currently are in WoW. Unless of course you're in a 5 man BG and 3 of your team are bots.

Which was the final straw for me in WoW.

it's been 2 days since I posted this thread, and they're still here. 2 days, same bots, same place. I am horrified when I wonder how long they had been there since I first noticed it. Why is this not being addressed by the staff? I know my post caught their attention because a ZOS admin posted here. This is what you might call ignoring the elephant in the room. Here are these dozens of bots, just going unchecked, and Zenimax still hasn't sent someone to Coldharbour to do anything about it. Honestly, I'm beginning to think Zenimax is running the bots at this point, because they are just letting these bots run wild. How is this not of concern to them?

Also, they're farming the plants in the area, Nirnroots and other flowers are just disappearing right in front of me. One guy was flying sideways across the zone and went straight through a wall. One of the bots had died somehow, but its' corpse was just sliding across the ground in the same path as the other bots.

    Why is this allowed?

It's not allowed. Zenimax is just incapable of preventing it apparently.

This is evidenced by the fact that they have repeatedly stated they are doing everything they can to combat the situation.

Yet, we are able to observe that the bot situation is only getting worse.

They are practically running a conga line out here. And all I get is "Please use the in-game report function. Thank you."

I'm not sure what these people are actually doing anymore. Must be more focused on the Craglorn update and the console versions or something. When something like this gets completely ignored, either they don't care, or they do care but they have other priorities.

I've been in some areas where I see nothing but bots. No real players anywhere. Makes me not even want to play, surrounded by nothing but what I consider RL criminals...using stolen credit cards to make accounts, etc.

I can't believe this Coldharbour thing is STILL going on even after you reported in-game AND had the issue addressed by GM in forum.

Haven't seen any bots over the past couple of days, but most of you folks are far ahead of me in gameplay, so maybe the bots are too.

They aren't. These bots are level 2 or 3 and still have the starter pajamas from the tutorial. But they're in a level 40-50 zone

And most of the bots I've seen were in the low level areas. I saw a small group of them in Stros M'kai today, but there was only 4 or 5 of them, and it was easy to get a report on all of them because they were just running in a path fighting the bandits in the area. Small amounts of them like that, I can get a report on them easily, and wouldn't come here to say anything about it. Large armies of them running for days on end through the same area, that is a different story though. I did several dozen more reports in Hollow City today, but, I'm not going to sit there all day. And even if I did, I wouldn't get a report on all of them.

I know it is Friday night, but I swear I am seeing a distinct lack of Zone spam for gold sites and a lot fewer characters farming the low level areas of the game.

To be sure, there are still people standing around the infinite spawn Jute, many of them normal looking characters, but iron farming level 5 Argonians named randomly and wearing Wailing Garb seem to be considerably thinned out.

I stopped and looked for the hackers that run around underground and did not see any tonight, either. Usually it is not hard to collect 3 or 4 names in a half hour.

The last time I saw a break like this was over the Labor Day holiday (May 1) when China was off work.

Am I just lucky and not looking in the right places?

If you ignore them nothing gets done, if you report them very little gets done. What is one to do, report or ignore, both seem like the same option to me atm... The reporting ingame is very lacklustre, It doesn't make me feel like I've made a difference for my 30 mins of reporting a zone of Bots, there's no feedback in game. It all feels useless.

Can someone please point me to the "bot reporting mod", I'm done reporting the hard way :(

the bot issue is getting out of hand, and the GMs aren't doing anything about it. banning an account of a bot is maybe a 5 minute setback minute setback for them. what the GMs need to start doing is banning the domain that the bot accounts are coming from, or get someone who knows how to do it.

Shame they cant make it so anyone in Coldharbour thats under level 10 is fully pvp flagged, and lootable!:P
