As excited for Scribing as I am, I gotta say that I'm also pretty worried that there's going to be a bunch of new abilities that I want to use but will struggle to fit into my build because of Molten Whip only gaining stacks from Ardent Flame abilities. With whip being a big chunk of DK's burst, I have a hard time seeing myself dropping Ardent Flame abilities (Noxious in particular) in favor of new ones that don't work with whip. Instead, please make whip gain stacks from any flame or poison damage ability.

    or just remove the stacking weapon and spell damage. This ability is one of the most overloaded in the game.

    There's a good case to be made for making it build stacks off any class ability other than whip.

    I want to agree for the sake of my own DK but I'm afraid to buff DKs anymore. 😅

    I think that dk is controlled, at least that is the experience I have been having, and if you look at the number of dks in Cyrodil it has reduced, just look at how many dks there are in relation to other classes, you will see that they are in smaller numbers. due to the fact that it is no longer as large a class as it once was.

    You might be getting your wish, yesterday during the Amsterdam reveal, there was mention of a “Class Mastery” aspect to Scribing that lets your skills benefit from your passives, and the two examples provided were that you can build Crux and benefit from Corpses.

    Chances are that the Class Mastery aspect will make your skill count as an Ardent Flame.
