Was all of the necromancer feedback ignored?

Haha the overwhelming answer is yes. Man I really thought about coming back to the game but this is the first time I won’t buy the expansion. The combat team clearly doesn’t care about player feedback they just do random changes to core combat 3 times a year and drink everyone’s tears. Idk why people still come back to this game and have hope.

If there was another game that played siiilar to eso, i'd make the switch.

    What do you guys think?

    Yes.

The most obvious pet class in an RPG but no, not here.

Should other classes also fear having their iconic skills reworked out of nowhere?

Of course. It's happened many times. Sorcerers used to have great shields and a pet that taunts. Also, we could open any trash fight with the knockdown from hard-cast Crystal Frags. And had the option of Overload to make up for crowding on our other skill bars. (And about the only way I've ever won the occasional PvP duel I stumbled into was with fully-charged Overload.)

Templars had Repentance nerfed long ago; now they cry about Jabs.

I used to love the 3-second beat of magicka Shalks. Now Warden doesn't play that way.

    Etc.

So how was Templar's iconic but severely OP skill destroyed?!? Are you complaining about the slight nerf or the animation?

Me going from 30k damage from one cast of jabs synergizing with burning light passive down to 12k damage from one cast of jabs is not a "slight" nerf. It's a 66% damage nerf of jabs + burning light synergy.

It was overloaded, but their treatment of it was not the proper way to do it, like many things in this game they're now doing with Necromancer.

Will still get the job done, eventually, but feels REAL bad slotting it unless you enjoy feeling like spilled spaghetti.

Lately I've been discovering a lot of the updates to Minecraft that I missed. Just saying.

This comment pretty much sums up my disappointment in this class. A classic pet class with no real pets.

This post sums up the reason I no longer give feedback on PTS. I played on the Test Server of EQ for 14 years. I regularly provided feedback and /bug reports to the devs. In ESO, it seems to be just ignored, and they proceed with changes, no matter how bad, or broken they are.

After feedback being ignored multiple times, letting stupid stuff go live, I stopped giving any feedback. PTS, for me, is now a place to personally parse and look at new content. I have no wish to waste my time testing their content to have results ignored.

I especially dislike the obvious overpowered item/class introduced with a dlc, which is 'suddenly' nerfed as they discovered it is too powerful. Really, it took months to figure that out, when you had multiple posts saying it was overpowered. It was either good for those many months, or it was not. Reacting to imbalance should be fast, you don't let something slide and then nerf afterwards. no one likes nerfs, especially when you let the class go, as is, for that many month.

So many people made Arcanists based on what ZoS decided they should be. Now that so many changed this to be their primary DD, you decide to nerf them? Really? Rather than impacting a few people, you are now nerfing a significant majority of the DDs on the server. Yeah, that works well..... I see no problem there.

Oakensoul.... Stranglers.... I remember when necros were actually good. So many mistakes and so many bad fixes.

I am still annoyed Stranglers were left in such an unusable place and consigned to a niche role, when they had had enough sales of that expansion.

I have 3 necros, 1 healer, a stam dd and a mag dd that are about to join my other unused characters, my no pet sorc both templars (healer and mag dd) and two wardens (mag dd and tank). All of these are not used by me anymore because of changes made over the years that impacted the character so much that it is either not useful in content or no longer fun...I wonder how long it will be before I have no fun/useful characters?

it is really frustrating to have such long ptr cycles when feedback is never really considered. We have some amazing people like kevin that do their best to smooth things over but overall we dont need a month of testing if feedback is ignored anyway. I wish the devs themselves would do live sessions on twitch to something to share their thoughts instead of making the forums mods take a beating from the eso player base
