On the other hand the bot problem will be far lower in 6 months, not saying they will go away but they will move out of sight and use pretty obscure methods for farming like instanced dungeons.
Bots based on packet sniffing, which make up a good percentage of them won't be affected.Runing bots on consoles will be hard, you will either need an cracked console, an pc who manages to fool the server into beliving its an console or an pc who send data to the server, not sure if any of this is practical enough for farming.

Yes packet sniffing and manipulation will not be affected, has the benefit that it can be run on a separate computer from game and so is impossible to detect client side. However who don't they encrypt at least some of the data like the keystrokes?Bots based on packet sniffing, which make up a good percentage of them won't be affected.Runing bots on consoles will be hard, you will either need an cracked console, an pc who manages to fool the server into beliving its an console or an pc who send data to the server, not sure if any of this is practical enough for farming.
PC, Xbox and PS4 will have separate servers.Wait? What?Jade_Knightblazerb14_ESO wrote: »Would rerolling on the Console be better to leave this Bot infested MMO version behind?

WTF?

Why this surprises you? It has always been so.
SIlly idea, hardware is irrelevant, FFXI and FFXIV mix PC and console players just fine and FFXI has since 2003.PC, Xbox and PS4 will have separate servers.
Multiple reasons, pc has mouse, keyboards and addons.
Updates, xbox and ps4 will have to get the client updates verified making it hard to synchronize this.
Some chance they will add platform dependent features like kinetic support or other future features and this would be hard or unfair if it was on one server.
Its not that it attracts it, PC hacks/trainers and bot programs are much easier to make and run then a console one. thus PC will always have more hackers. i have found a few that even a 6 yr old can set up (not for eso but L2 back in the day)Fruity_Ninja wrote: »I always planned to go to console. What great news that we can transfer our character/s.
Wait...last I heard the console versions were supposed to be played on the same mega server. That was the reason they stated we get so few skill slots, so the console versions could match it with their controller. This is a bummer....

yes console folks and pc folks will not be able to play together, not a single game out there YET that allows this to happen, a shame really but i do understand some of the complications this makes.
as of bot hunting, i challenge you to report all the bots at the coldharbour city wayshrine :P they never stop appearing, its a steady stream of bots coming from there hehe.

A good hunter never hunts all of his prey; you must leave some to continue on, or the sport will dwindle and die.
