found this to be the case as healer as well, one makes sure to stand behind making sure to get no buffs and avoiding heal aoe like its enemy aoe, bal dungeon on hm with that aoe dot on each player they love to spread out and die to that

Even better is when you make a point of moving behind that person to heal and buff them and they keep running further away.

As soon as I realize it’s a problem in a pug I mark myself so they can easily see me and clearly say in chat that anyone behind me won’t get heals or buffs and that if you have mob aggro and are behind me you are on your own. The tank’s not coming to help, I’m not coming to help, the other dps probably isn’t going to notice.

    I'm allergic to buffs.

That's why I always carry an Oakensoul.

I carry two, one for each bar. But Oak ain't everything you know. Ball groups still reign supreme and so do late night DPS groups. Man you guys is strongggggg. Must admit I got a touch of PTSD after getting rushed by those guys last night with all the meteors, but I've had a couple drinks and I'm alright now.

But OP I have a bow; I am compelled to stay at range.

Serious answer though, this is a common mmo habit among players. I have learned to let natural selection take it course when they inevitably die because they outrange the healer.

There is Melee then there is Ranged and then there is WTH is this Player doing range. I always post in group chat when i am running Spaulder of Ruin and PA for instance and it always makes me laugh when a player is so far away that any buff no matter what it is can't reach them. Maybe something that is 100 meters lol... I don't think you need to be 45 meters away to use your HA Build. Please come close and enjoy the many buffs I try to hand out as a Tank. Just think you can be receiving Spaulder of Ruin and Powerful Assault if you just came within 12 meters. That is a combined 567 DPS added to your HA build.. Oh and it will keep that 1 trash add from going so far away that I cannot chain it in causing you to run even farther away lol.

    Cheers!

If yur running a bunch of specific group buffs then might want to tell your group that. Bow for example does more damage farther out, others might just have their own reason for not stacking too close.

    Communication before blame.

Completely wrong. Regardless your weapon specifications, the further you go back is never behind the healer.

Otherwise play solo mode, not in a group, position whenever you want and heal your own self.

But if you are in a group, respect the composition and positions.

Completely wrong? Was it also wrong *not* to communicate with the group?

Allow me to show a little humility here and remind folks that everyone who joins... what you probably consider to be your group may not understand your rules.

Be courteous and compassionate to those who are not on your level.

My Original Post specifically says in the first sentence that I Always post in the group what I am wearing. That is the whole point of my Post.

Ok but unless the other group members are aware of what those sets are, then what you're saying will probably mean very little to them. People post stuff in groups all the time and half the time everyone just runs with it. Although all of my replies were not specifically meant for you, I would say in closing that you can't always assume that people in the group will know your plan, your rules and abide by your strategy just because you set high personal expectations, this includes drawing conclusions that they are automatically going to recognize the value and limits associated with whatever gear or strategy you're using.

The problem with this approach is then someone might say, "what's wrong with these guys, they're not listening to me", when they never really understood your message from the start. And the only way you can sort this out is to go the extra mile of communicating with them and asking a few questions. This is a reason why couple years ago I stopped running most in game Trials unless I know the players involved and can talk to them like we're chatting now.

lol. There is no Rules. My OP says i always post in Group Chat what i am wearing. Period. The Group Buffs i give regardless if they want them or not to help the Group DPS are always communicated. DPS should always want Free DPS Buffs. Either way I see too Often People say Tanks are supposed to offer Group Buffs. That is what i am doing so If am giving you free Big DPS increase take advantage of it lol... All you do is just click on the item that someone posts. If it is a Team Effort via any type of group everyone has to do their part. You cannot just say If I post my Sets it is also my responsibility to tell everyone to look at them lol. I am posting them for a reason not for a pat on the back. Good ESO Players Understand what i am saying. Newer ones can learn from my post. Learning is half the battle! If someone asks about mechanics i stop and explain. Before doing a main boss I ask if anyone needs an explanation. If no one say anything I pull 5 seconds later.

    Cheers!

You do realize, that HA builds entirely independent of WPD/SPD bonuses, right?
Only last HA tick get some meh buff from you Powerful Assault or Spell Power Cure or Magma Incarnate. DOT ticks from HA get nothing from your buffs.

    HA builds are scaled from:
    - Empower
    - HA sets (Sergeant and Duelist, rest is crap) + rarity (blue -> purple -> golden)
    - crit chance/crit damage
    - penetration

Healers do not always stand in any specific spot. Thus I tend to ignore them. But then I self-heal a lot on my petsorc.

If you're talking about a pug group, I'm staying as far away as I can. Most are fake or don't know what they're doing. You sound like you know what you're doing and that is an exception to the norm for pugs in my experience.

1, please use some paragraph breaks.

2, new players might actually see you posting your sets simply as "Look at my axe with the cool name!
or they're confused why you posted your sets and simply move on.

3, more communication would probably help.

if you see people aren't standing close enough during for example the 1st dungeon boss fight,
then right after the fight or before the 2nd fight communicate with them by telling them it's better to stand closer for your buffs.

Or maybe during the fight use the "get close to one another" Quick Chat emote, if you have it assigned to your emotes wheel.

And showing your sets might communicate the right thing to experienced players, but that'd be because they'd recognise the set or would know how to look at the set description.
