Back in the very, very early days I used to love PvP. The huge groups of armies fighting around keeps were visually impressive. But with the reduced player caps, overly “god like” builds, “bubble” groups, and keep attacks focusing exclusively on doors, it lost its appeal.

It’s kind of banal now.

Where is option for "sleekness"? -sigh- Biased poll is biased.

Non-competitive PvE in all its forms, solo or co-operative but not formally grouped or guilded.

PVP is a minority activity in any game that is not designed around it.

The bulk of my time is PvE, but I also have a lot of fun with PvP and do it occasionally too.

I have my phases, most of which are PVE-focused. Right now, I'm only lightly playing the game. Questing, crafting, and trading seem to be my go-to activities lately. When I'm a little more active, I like doing dungeons and trials. I was thinking last night I should do more arenas like Maelstrom and IA.

I do it all - but chose PVP cuz I like it the most.

The only time I step foot in Cyrodiil is when I reach level 10 to do the quest so I can get the passive to make my mount faster. Other than that, NO PvP areas for me.

I do and enjoy a little bit of everything (crafting, housing, dungeons/trials, quests, fashion), but my favourite activity is PVP. I used to enjoy Battlegrounds, but since ZOS took away the option of queuing for Deathmatch, I only really play in Cyrodiil now. I have to say that the experience has been much better on the whole since moving from PS4 NA to PC NA. Cyrodiil was virtually unplayable four years ago on PS4. So glad I made the switch after a long break, and took the time to grind out characters and gear again.

Making RP builds that I find enjoyable --> get slapped in any content --> optimize build for PvE --> get slapped in PvP --> optimimize for PvP --> get slapped and optimize loop x >35 --> optimize further until build loses everything that I valued in RP --> restart

The amount of PvE content too heavily outweighs the PvP, but I chose to vote PvP anyway just because I haven't done actual "endgame" PvE (as in trials or vet dungeons) in years. Just don't see the point since they don't really reward much outside of sets and I enjoy PvP more, and even normal dungeons I only usually do one time when they first release to complete the quest. That being said.... I don't even really like Cyrodiil since it's just a run between laggy fights simulator so I stick mainly to BGs and IC. If I really want to focus on true endgame progression/content though, PvP or PvE.... well, I simply go play a different MMO.

2 Side notes:

1) The poll should have a 3rd option: both. There are certainly some players doing both activities equally. Probably not a lot, but still...

2) The results will be a bit biased because representative of the forum population, that is not representative of the full game population.
In this forum, active posters are in majority those deeply involved and active in the game, doing PvE end game stuff (trials, vet dung., ....) and PvP. So the dispatch between PvE and PvP will probably be a lot more balanced than if the same survey would be done with full game population.

This poll is going to be super one-sided no matter what just because it is saying that you should even include things like housing and roleplaying as PvE, which makes no sense since PvE means player versus environment.... and last time I checked, I don't have to fight off a swarm of NPC enemies while decorating my house and roleplaying is more of a social aspect of MMOs that I would never label as one or the other either.
That's why I just answered the poll with what "endgame" content I actually do in mind. I have never considered myself a PvE focused player because I do not do a lot of PvE group and endgame content.... but going off of this poll, my answer would technically have to be PvE just because I spend a lot of time housing, farming for mats, and on some daily quests.... but really my endgame focus, what I enjoy the most, and the way I build is all around PvP.

It would be also interesting to see a poll... Group PvE or Solo PvE. It's pretty easy to see from this poll, and common knowledge, that ESO is primarily a PvE game- and while not all players are on the forums- I'm pretty confident this poll's results mirror the actual total player population. What I'd be curious about is seeing the difference between PvE players and what content they prefer to play. Sadly, I have no clue on how to make a poll.
