Why is the EU character copy so old?

I logged into the PTS this evening to look at the new anniversary stuff and I noticed my character's CP total was over 20 points behind what it currently is on the live EU server. I typically earn a full CP or so every day and I have not missed a day so far in 2024. It seems like this character copy was made at the same time as the recent NA character copy, if not before. Was the correct database back-up restored with today's patch?

I've seen this before and was bewildered by it also. I don't play much on the EU server as I am simply not bilingual but today I decided to create a new toon with the same name I use on the NA Server and it would not take and I know that it is not a name that is already taken. So I created my Khajiit with the name I use on NA and it passed.0 -

✭✭✭✭I think it's just an old character copy, from the first few days of January. My toons are still wearing the outfits they use for New Life. The latest Achievement I could find is dated 1/1/24, although I don't get many these days.
The new character I created on Live last week is not there at all.

characters being cleared is because the first two weeks of update 41 on pts had PC NA characters and now there's copies of PC EU charactersmiaow! i'm Luna ( she/her ).

you dont have to be bilingual to play on EU. most people speak Englishmiaow! i'm Luna ( she/her ).

✭✭✭They probably take a copy of the live servers before the first week of the PTS, so it's likely that the copies on the PTS server are just old copies of your characters.0 -

✭✭✭✭I checked achievements on Live, and one of my characters has one dated 12th Jan 24. He doesn't have that achievement on PTS, so the copy must date from before then. More than a month old

Yes, I know but a lot of times I get a whisper in another language from a random player who wants to group up that I can't translate so I simply ignore it and it makes me feel a little like I am being rude when the problem is that I can't translate what they are typing in the chat box.
We are getting off the subject of this thread so everyone please don't open a can of worms about translation, other languages etc. This thread is about something that occurs every now and then when they do a character wipe.Edited by Dovahkiin02191973 on February 13, 2024 10:16AM0 -

✭✭✭In my case the PTS copy is also from around New Life time.
It was more obvious in this case because I logged in one of my baby alt accounts which is still gaining CP at a steady pace and hasn't finished researching all traits yet.
This seemed... unusual but just a minor inconvenience compared to the change to collections on the PTS.0 -

Last PTS guild state was heavy outdated (from about two months before), but characters seemed to be very recent.0
