Not quite crafting, but how do all of you figure out fair prices for things on a console? No TTC to look at there....

There's the TTC website, that's all I can suggest. If you have a PC handy while playing the game, use the TTC web page to search for prices while running the game.

    https://eu.tamrieltradecentre.com/pc/Trade
    PC(Steam) / EU / play from Melbourne, Australia / avg ping 390

I usually go to a couple of central traders, mournhold, wayrest etc, and a couple of secondary places and check the prices. I also check sales history in my guilds to see what prices stuff is selling for

Forgot to mention, there's also this ESO Hub website with a similar price-checking function:
    https://eso-hub.com/en/trading?query="Ta"&sort=last_seen_at&sortdir=desc&server=EU
    PC(Steam) / EU / play from Melbourne, Australia / avg ping 390

The problem with those, especially TTC, is they rely on player entered data, not always valid.

This is a hassle I am trying to figure out how to work around.

you can look at what other people list things for in Guild Stores and list your item for something close to it

True, but still may be way under or over priced.

I realize no good strategy exists that is low effort, but I was hoping I was missing something.

If you want to sell a particular item, I’d recommend checking guild trader prices in Elden Root, Wayrest, and Mournhold. That only takes less than 5 minutes. Then list on the low end or slightly less depending on how fast you want to sell. Same method for buying items except of course you will want the cheapest.

If you do this regularly for certain classes of items you get a feel for what is a good price, but always keep an eye out for depreciation over time for newer items from the latest chapter. I assume basic mats are fairly constant in price over time, but I cannot verify since I do not buy or sell them. You may of course find cheaper items in traders outside of the capital cities but that is dependent on what the item is and how much it benefits you to take extra time to search more.

This is the way. If you want to add a few more cities, then you can also check Belkarth, Alinor, and Vivec City.

The problem with those, especially TTC, is they rely on player entered data, not always valid.

This is a hassle I am trying to figure out how to work around.
They're accurate enough. When I list items at roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of the TTC recommend minimum price (as indicated by the TTC addon), they sell quickly, and both I and my buyer get a good deal. They don't have to be 100% accurate to be useful.

Are you selling on PC or console? PC prices for certain things like mats and furnishing plans can be dramatically higher.

    EDIT: typo

I will to what others have said, how much you can get also depends on where the trader doing the selling is. The bigger cities get more buyers so things sell faster and many times for a bit more. When I'm going to list something with one of my guilds I check the prices selling on that guild and my other 3 guilds. That way I get an idea of the prices of things on the seller I'll be using.

If no one has it then I check Elden Root and Mournhold for prices.

And see my note that those have minimal help since they require people to manually update the data, something that will not happen very often.

I expected I wouldn't get a good response/action, but I wanted to see if I could be wrong on that and get some good ideas.

Because I didn't see it mentioned...

After you check the 3 major alliance hubs, don't just check your own guild store. It's important that you check the other guild vendors in the same zone. You ain't gonna sell squat if the stinky orc in the next stall over is selling them much cheaper.

I sort by time. If something is listed at 10k but it only has 7 days left (out of 30) then I know it’s not selling at that price. If I see lots of that item at 6k all with 28 days left then I know it takes 3 days to sell at 6k.

But how do you gather the data? Spend hours running around? Live with only a few sellers to review?
