Adjust Respawn Timing and Needed Damage During Events!

The current Guilds and Glory event has many components that work fine, but the ones where you have to do something tied to a respawn timer OR get so many drops are really messed up.

Try to get pearls in Hew's Bane! The boss gets mowed down so quickly that it is almost impossible to do enough damage to get a drop from the boss and the trash mobs around the area that drop pearls respawn very slowly. Not a good design to have a mass of players standing around doing nothing because they can't get 10 things to kill. I did get 5 pearls from one boss kill, but 0 from several more boss kills after that, during the times I managed (somehow) to do enough damage to be able to loot. Having 20+ players there makes a lootable boss VERY unlikely.

Then go to the "rescue prisoners" one in Wrothgar. Either camp and watch a single spawn spot for who knows how long or run rapidly between them for very little interesting things to do.

Is anyone at ZOS considering things like this? They have said they grew based on player input, but surely these things have been noted before.

I noted the trouble with Harrowstorms and 1-3 players before, but these have the opposite problem of being too easy to mow down when many players are present. Forget "harder overland", someone needs to be looking at many issues like this and adjusting them to make for a much better play experience! Ramping up the HP for the boss in the pearl's quest would help give participants a chance to do enough damage, along with making the respawn of other mobs that drop them higher when many players are in the area. (The reverse of what Harrowstorms need!)

Things like this are annoyances that are completely avoidable!

All they need to do is adjust boss health during events, add an extra 3-10 million.

Getting the pearls is more than a matter of boss health. You cannot get enough pearls from the boss, if she drops any at all.

That also does not solve the problem of rescuing prisoners.

The respawn times are way too long, especially considering that we need to get ten of the pearls. The same applies to the prisoners in Wrothgar. It usually takes ages to save a second prisoner.

The harpy eggs from the Coldperch Cave delve as well, doing that daily is just painful. That daily in particular could do with a reduction of required eggs from 13 to 6 in general.
PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester

I forgot that one. Very bad with more than 3 people there at the same time!

I play late at night and even I've had a lot of problems with the crowds. I feel for prime-time players, it must be truly awful.

Agree the pearls drop from the mob and people drop ultimate on them because. doing 2000 damage give you loot.
It also let others get in some hits so they might leave.
Bosses you only need to get in an tick to fill the quest, this might not give weapons but complete quest stage.
Healing also works here so if boss is almost dead an heal hitting some between you and boss will give tick if they are hurt.

But yes buffing trash mobs needed for quest should be buffed to 128K health who is stuff like trolls.
Not the add with the boss as they don't count.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

      Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's about events.

      Thank you for your understanding

This is really a tuning issue, not an events issue.

I found these two quests especially annoying to the point of abandonning and avoiding them.
It is actually a design issue with older content. Quests in newer content somehow rely less on "competitive interaction".
Kill the boss, fine. Get loot or not, also fine. But the loot should not be quest objective. Participating in the fight is the quest objective. Interacting with quest items is the objective. Quest items do not need to despawn when another player interacts with them. This can be coded. This has been coded into newer content successfully.
I do not think it is necessary to tweak hitpoints etc. inside or outside of events. Just improve objectives.
Not a bad idea to think about tweaking spawn times though.

That is why I said this is not an events issue.

I really hope someone at ZOS breaks the trend and listens to these.
