Some Lead drops are so broken. Why is it like this? (Moons Blessed Pool, Apocryphal Well + more)

It really is lol. I'm using him to get more things before he's "too old", poor guy. Like, just got another Shrine of Dibella instantly (which I have unlocked, but hey, if I can get more for free why not!) *Edit: and two other leads, within minutes. This is like shopping. I'm convinced.

Another update: I was able to get a bunch of pieces fully unlocked with the fresh toon and can confirm it worked for guildmates too. Someone was able to get the annoying Shadowfen kilt lead from nodes this way.

However, Liminal Glass for a second Trifold Mirror is still not dropping no matter how many times, on how many new or old characters I try. That WB is so difficult too, frustrating.

Evidently the way it works is it rolls the lead when you dig up the chest. If you don't have it in your log, you get that lead. If you do, you just don't get squat. Dig them up as you go so you can at least sell the dupes instead of getting nothing for your effort. It does not curate your chances by having other leads in your log, it just ensures you get absolutely nothing unless it's the one you need.

And yes, it's pain. I just did the Akaviris and I ended up with 50+ leads (not maps, leads!) before my last one rolled (also daggers). I actually calculated that there was only a 1% chance I could go on a streak that long without getting one.

But seriously ZOS, curate these and never have this as a farming thing again. I want more Ancestral motifs, but i want to actually be able to obtain them without wanting to throw my game out a window.

Long story short - I did it. With just like 20-30 more maps. Since maps were under 2-3k I could do this. Now I'm free from those. Blackwood and later maps I will dig on the go.

Interesting about new toons. May give it a go with my one remaining slot!

Sone drops are awful. Or my rng is awful. Or both.

Still needs lead from slug in Coral Aerie, & last boss Bal Sunar. And Graven Deep. Even though I am lucky enough to have friends to run them (again & again) with me.

And never seen that shiny glowy feather. Ever. No matter how many griffons I kill.

Too depressed now to go and see what else I still need (but can I show you all my Seats of the Snow Prince & void stone anomaly thingies?!)

I still have leads from both Fungal Grotto 1 and 2 that I have not got even once. I have run on multiple toons. It’s unfathomable.

What is the point of prolonged expiration lead time in U49 when you can't get them at all?
30 or 180 days doesn't matter when you can't get a lead.

I never encountered any other lead for mythical to be so bad like that one.
This is truly mythical item as it doesn't exists.

My hope is that one day it will show up at one weekly vendor.

P. S.
The only good thing about Vile Manse is when is empty of other players you can farm Colovians who leave a lot of gold behind them so at least you can fast farm gold.

Agreed. Drop chances should be the same for all leads necessary to complete the codex entry, and with the ever increasing size of the lead pool they really need to be curated.

ETA drop chance for leads locked behind treasure map chests should also be increased - there shouldn't be a double RNG penalty involved.
