With next year being the 10th and the Impressario stuff being Molag Bal themed, I feel we're going to get something that ties back to the Base Game, so my guess is Imperial.

Am I the only one thinking that a "proper" Argonian chapter where we can see ancient un-destroyed Xanmeers and a huge Mayan / Aztec inspired city would be cool ? I mean, every time ZOS decided to do something related to argonains, it was always either about slavery, misery, death or very primitive tribe culture (primitive even for tribal stuff). So if they would take fresh & different approach and show us something that we never seen before & something that was never done before, I guess it would have huge potential & would be quite awesome. The map is empty in a lot of places.

I feel like Murkmire just scratched at the surface of the Argonians and Hist. It wasn't even a Chapter. :disappointed:

This year was Dibella themed, and Necrom isn't exactly Dibella themed is it.

That would be so awesome!!! I would love to see and learn more about the Argonian culture that built the Xanmeers!
That side quest in Coldharbour was so cool, only I was disappointed that there didn’t seem to be any preserved knowledge or cultural differences, at least not that I could find. :(

But yeah, my guess is it will be another chapter focused on boring humans rather than something really unique and outside the box (no dis on ZOS, that’s my summation of TES post Morrowind). At least the Blackwood year came with some of my favorite houses (Varlaisvea and Sweetwater Cascades).

I just find it a really good thing that I still have so much "older content" to play. I'm not interested in: argonians, nords, orcs, dunmer, or content relating to them, or zones specific to them.

However, there's SO much I do love that I always have something to do, so it works for me.

I'm hating that thing so much. So utterly dumb.

Imagine how all the people around the Vestige would react in lore, if they ran around with an illusion portraying a form the daedric prince of brutality and domination (and many other unpleasant things) has taken. The prince who recently tried kill, enslave, torture and other things to everyone in Tamriel.

I figure this is a third year in a row where the events will have nothing for me to use tickets on. In the spring I will get the last one of the indriks I want, so....

Then again, I've been "evented out" anyway. Guess I can just ignore all that in favor of just playing.

I am catching up this year on a couple things. Each of the morphed items takes 45 tickets, starting from scratch.

I will say that they do need more variety in the "stocking stuffers" placed in the Event Ticket store. Not just for this event, but for all events.

They crossed that bridge years ago and just keep getting further from it. There are two realities in the game; the lore reality that defines Tamriel, and the collectables and cosmetics reality that presents something entirely different.

I WISH we could get furnishings, plans, things that would cost a few tickets would be worth it to me. The indriks were the only things from the past I had any interest in - the last two years were SO not my things.... I have the morpholith pet on at least one account, but that's it.

And when it comes to houses - sure the druid one is nice, but it's huge as usual. I thought I wanted it, until I realized how huge it is. I want Erlibru's Cottage. Cozy, compact....

Nah, I really want Winterhold. I think it’d be perfect because while it’s nostalgic it could also be fairly new and unique since the majority of the city and area surrounding were destroyed and swallowed by the sea.

    I agree
Due to the destruction the zone would be filled with nostalgia but also mostly new.

The problem with Winterhold is that there really isn't much there. They would have to dive down into Blackreach, and while I like that place, three times is a little much.

Winterhold wasn’t destroyed yet in the 2nd Era and they could do almost anything with the surrounding land around and to the north. You could just simply say “this is what that storm in the 4th era washed away” and you’re good. You could make the city huge and have it go all the way out to where the jail was in Skyrim. Could also surround the area with snow elf ruins and delves too, it would all make sense given that nothing was destroyed yet.

I'm terribly worried about them making a bosmer chapter at the same time. Because they haven't been that good implementing lore or been creative with it lately. It's also always another theme that has more focus than the zone, like how Necrom was more about Mora and Apocrypha than that part of Morrowind. I mean, they even removed House Indoril from it.

I want bosmer chapter, but I'm very worried at the same time for one.

I don't mind so much if they add Oblivion or other lore instead of just sticking to the Tamrielic zone, especially if I find the new lore intriguing. I am a little sad, however, when they leave out bits of previously established lore that I was expecting to see in a new zone.

I agree, I feel the lore has been turned to suit themselves (zeni ) and their current purpose at times, and it IS a bit worrying that it wouldn't be that great, but I would still like it to be tried at least.
I found Elsweyr to be really well done, I thoroughly enjoyed that chapter. I also liked Deadlands a lot. Greymoor not so much, I found it rather boring, the same with High Isle. I still haven't finished Necrom. If they produced something as engaging ( to me, anyway ) as Elsweyr, I would be happy.

I love Wood Elves, they're my favourite race, though due to the way ZoS ruined their racials I don't often play them anymore, so my thieves and assassins just sit in my vault, but I would make one for a new Bosmer chapter playthrough.

The dact is that we just dont know how big that city was before the collapse. For al we knoe the colege could once have been in the midle of the town! That would certainly explain the town folk suspicion of the mage being behind it. Also we only know that the town was washed up that day, what about the area around it?

A new zone could also integrate the pale and dawnstar, connecting the eastmarch and western skyrim zones. Making it possible to walk from dagerfall all the way around to greenshade!

It's up to ZOS how they want to write 2nd Era history, but in the 4th Era, Winterhold was more of a village that claimed to be a large bustling city before the collapse. Frankly, BGS didn't sell that point very well, so I always just assumed it was braggadocious. ZOS could either reinforce or correct the lore here, depending on what they wanted to do.

The area does need a major city, where none exists in the 4th, and that is largely my point above. There is the College and Winterhold, a few forts, light houses, and ruins, plus some statue to some Daedric Prince  but it is largely just snow and ice and one of the more boring locations in TES 5.

As I see it, Winterhold and The Pale are too empty for a Chapter, even with Winterhold as a major city. They would either have to add Blackreach or Whiterun to make it worthy. Greymoor added Blackreach and did The Reach as a DLC. Necrom did both Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha. Without Blackreach or Whiterun, it is DLC sized, not Chapter sized.

no it is totally possible as there's still the islands south of Valenwood that are on the Arena, Oblivion, and Skyrim world maps.

they were originally going to be the zone right after Khenarthi's Roost in the Aldmeri Dominion story, but were cut.

so they can be used for future dlc.
and the High isle chapter is also tiny islands on the world map, but the zone is chapter sized so yes it would work.

if we got a Colovian (Western Cyrodiil) chapter or Tenmar Forest chapter (Central Elsweyr) before then that could have some bosmeri presence though as it would border northern or eastern Valenwood.

Western Skyrim had two holds so future Skyrim chapters will probably have two as well.

yea Winterhold Hold could be coupled with The Pale, which has Dawnstar.
there's also definitely Blackreach underneath both holds.
    and Solstheim is nearby.
so there's plenty of stuff around Winterhold to use.

a Whiterun chapter could also have Blackreach underneath and would probably include Falkreath Hold,
likely excluding Falkreath as the city is in the dungeon.
though i hope somehow we'd get a new version of the city i kinda doubt it.
at least there could be Helgen and Riverwood too.
