I never look at the website so I didn't see that. That makes me marginally more hopeful that it won't be more Dunmer....

Even if they didn't say that I would be doubtful beyond words they would make another (somewhat) dunmer themed chapter right after another. Even more so since that would make it three dunmer themed chapters.

True! Well, I will just continue to hope. I have the definite feeling that the only race the devs really like is Dunmer....

    You're confusing Tamriel with Nirn.
I'm guessing we're just heading North if it's a continuation, but I'd like to see somewhere different next year, not more mushrooms.

It has to be either Redguard, Imperial or Bosmer since they're the only ones without proper expansions. Maybe orc as well since orsinium was so long ago.

Personally I'd like more Khajiit stuff but I'm a bit biased.

I can see that Imperial City wasn’t an Imperial themed expansion, but wasn’t Leyawiin mostly Imperial? Some Argonian as well, but there were few new Argonian furnishings and no new Argonian houses.

And was Craglorn Redguard or not really? I still haven’t done that zone story yet. And then there was sort of Hew’s Bane, although the focus of that zone is the Thieves’ Guild.

I agree about Bosmer, although they have a lot of story in the base zones, they are the most neglected in terms of motifs, furnishings, houses (no tree house?), and further content. Next would be Redguard I think.

I would enjoy more Khajiit content too! I love Elsweyr. :)

So they’re going to leave the rest of the peninsula unexplorable just like that strip of land between north and south Elsweyr? Now I’ll have two areas of the map that drive me nuts. Great.

Blackwood is honestly daedra themed. The imperials and argonians are some shallow decoration. I'm not sure if a lot of Blackwood was made during the pandemic, because it feels rather half-arsed, and the portayal of the south Nibenay is minimal and nothing close to the gaudy cultural melting pot it should be.

Craglorn has a little redguard, but a lot of it is mostly historical to Nedes (among other things) and the constellations. Same so is Thieves Guild mostly about Thieves Guild, even though it takes place in Hew's Bane. There is of course a little redguard there, but has a small role.

That doesn’t mean they won’t come back to it. I am more puzzled by the central section that was left out of Elsweyr as it seems to small to be a zone itself and it would have been lovely to travel from one end of Elsweyr to the other.

How about an expansion that includes all races and all provinces?

For some provinces it might just be a return to an existing zone for some part of the story-- which is sort of what they already do for prologue quests and dungeon DLCs, where we have to do something in one or more existing zones during the prologue, or where the entrance to a new dungeon appears in an existing zone.

But for other provinces it might involve new zones to explore, ranging in size from small areas to large ones depending on how much of that province hasn't been added into the game yet.

I mean, does an expansion really need to focus on a single race or province?

That seems.... ah... really ambitious for the current state of development....

Whatever. "Current state of development" is for stories that can continue over multiple years, and whatever they've got going for 2024 is already underway, so my comment is about future expansions.

I'm expecting Winterhold to be at the Tamriel end of things in 2024. It's the only place that got a credible mention in Necrom. So, Nords, but focussed on some more crazies at the College.

But, as for the rest of it, the story seems to be taking us ever further down a rabbit hole of times and places that never were. Existing lore need not apply, none of it. Very hard to predict.

That doesn't seem different from most chapters. It's based on TESIV's south Nibenay with a few more pinches of flavour in dialogue and books. That's to say the flaw was in the design rather than the execution.

They could scale the zone tough. Im pretty sure on map the whole high isle archipelago is smaller than cental elsweyr but contain 2 zones

Bosmer could use a zone of their own and there was an interesting theory i heard in guild chat last night.

What ZOS could do is take the eastern mountainy part of greenshade and turn it into a zone of its own. Would take some finagling on the part of the in game maps but the idea of a high mountain jungle combined with something like Falinesti would be extremely cool

I don't think so. An Argonian and Imperial zone was the intent of Blackwood only a couple years ago. Whether you like the way it turned out or not, I doubt ZOS will tackle the same thing again so soon after the last time.

I am offering them the opportunity to do better. Like I said... "short changed"

I'd really like to see some more Imperial lore (not Reachmen Empire lore) in particular.

I am the odd man out I guess I would personally love to see the next chapter involve Nords and unexplored areas of Skyrim.

Am I the only one thinking that a "proper" Argonian chapter where we can see ancient un-destroyed Xanmeers and a huge Mayan / Aztec inspired city would be cool ? I mean, every time ZOS decided to do something related to argonains, it was always either about slavery, misery, death or very primitive tribe culture (primitive even for tribal stuff). So if they would take fresh & different approach and show us something that we never seen before & something that was never done before, I guess it would have huge potential & would be quite awesome. The map is empty in a lot of places.

But, what I want to see will most likely not happen. I think that best way to "guess" what new zone we can get is to see what companion's races are still missing. And those are: Orc, Nord, Wood Elf and High Elf. We always get 2 new Class Companions. The only class that is missing is Necromancer. And every time there is a new chapter - there are 2 new companions.

My wild guess is that we will get Solstheim zone with 2 new companions - High Elf necromancer & Nord werewolf.

Nah, I really want Winterhold. I think it’d be perfect because while it’s nostalgic it could also be fairly new and unique since the majority of the city and area surrounding were destroyed and swallowed by the sea.
