"Next year will kick off with a Global Reveal show in January, and we are excited to continue the story from last year but in a different part of Tamriel."
I never look at the website so I didn't see that. That makes me marginally more hopeful that it won't be more Dunmer....

Even if they didn't say that I would be doubtful beyond words they would make another (somewhat) dunmer themed chapter right after another. Even more so since that would make it three dunmer themed chapters.

It has to be either Redguard, Imperial or Bosmer since they're the only ones without proper expansions. Maybe orc as well since orsinium was so long ago.
Personally I'd like more Khajiit stuff but I'm a bit biased.

I can see that Imperial City wasn’t an Imperial themed expansion, but wasn’t Leyawiin mostly Imperial? Some Argonian as well, but there were few new Argonian furnishings and no new Argonian houses.
And was Craglorn Redguard or not really? I still haven’t done that zone story yet. And then there was sort of Hew’s Bane, although the focus of that zone is the Thieves’ Guild.

So they’re going to leave the rest of the peninsula unexplorable just like that strip of land between north and south Elsweyr? Now I’ll have two areas of the map that drive me nuts. Great.

You're confusing Tamriel with Nirn.
I'm guessing we're just heading North if it's a continuation, but I'd like to see somewhere different next year, not more mushrooms.

For some provinces it might just be a return to an existing zone for some part of the story-- which is sort of what they already do for prologue quests and dungeon DLCs, where we have to do something in one or more existing zones during the prologue, or where the entrance to a new dungeon appears in an existing zone.
But for other provinces it might involve new zones to explore, ranging in size from small areas to large ones depending on how much of that province hasn't been added into the game yet.
I mean, does an expansion really need to focus on a single race or province?
That doesn't seem different from most chapters. It's based on TESIV's south Nibenay with a few more pinches of flavour in dialogue and books. That's to say the flaw was in the design rather than the execution.Tyrant_Tim wrote: »Blackwood is honestly daedra themed. I'm not sure if a lot of Blackwood was made during the pandemic, because it feels rather half-arsed, and the portayal of the south Nibenay is minimal and nothing close to the gaudy cultural melting pot it should be.

That doesn’t mean they won’t come back to it. I am more puzzled by the central section that was left out of Elsweyr as it seems to small to be a zone itself and it would have been lovely to travel from one end of Elsweyr to the other.
Just no more boring elf zones, thanks.
I don't think so. An Argonian and Imperial zone was the intent of Blackwood only a couple years ago. Whether you like the way it turned out or not, I doubt ZOS will tackle the same thing again so soon after the last time.
