Once I finished setting up my actives, I kept investing a little bit efforts for a few passives suiting well my way to play. Since done with the actives and "first prio" passives, I let it go on its own and simply enjoy - very much - the nice surprise once in a while to get points, that I use to increase further more passives, that are pure bonuses.
I hope for it to continue a long time this way, that suits me well.

✭Non' Yo Bizness!After almost 10 years (in 4 months), CP are to the point that I don't care about them. Each character even from level 1 has the actives it needs and all the passives available, so they get stockpiled and never put somewhere.
Some times I miss veteran ranks and the old CP system tbh. Less hassle.

✭✭✭✭2601-3000We really need a CP update, where we can go over 50k-100k or something CP. But they need to set it up right for once and for all, so it can have decades before needing another update. CP 2.0 was inadequate in this part in my opinion. Make it truly endless.
Besides that, I do not like knowing CPs end at 3600.1 -

Mind you, I do like CP 2.0, but for instance, as there have been quite a few changes to Fitness and Warfare, there have been no changes to Craft.
ZOS could make SO many things and make us use not only C points, but also those in the F and W points to actually make us choose perks not on the basis of "yeah, the same", but rather to specialise.
Why can't a character be a gatherer with e.g. plant specialisation, or fauna specialisation, OR both but after a solid grind to get those 1.2 K (Craft) CP?
The system is great, and kudos to ZOS for the change. However, the potential is there, and a huge one.
If something like that was implemented, there would be another reason to hook us up on grinding xp.0 -

I only "level" mostly in hopes of a cp change, so leveling will become useful again.
The little gold save on rerolls or the time saves for redistributing is by far not worth the time to level up.1 -
Isteris✭✭✭Just about to hit 2400, although I don't really bother keeping a check any more. It is useful to have a lot of cp if you are using addons like wizard's wardrobe. With wizards you can change your set up, gear, skills and cp for each boss in a given trial so having lot of cp's allows you to preset a change of actives at no cost. I guess though for most of the player base once you hit 1200 there is not a lot of benefit involved in levelling up.1 -

I use pretty much entire green tree and I don't have enough to buy war mount on this char, but other's use it instead of thieving or fishing. That's CP3600
Jack of all trades addon slots stars on the fly, so I don't have to think about slotting them myself, I harvest a node, it slots plentiful harvest and master gatherer, I loot urn, it slots homemaker, I Approach crafting station, it slots disassembly, etc... I'd go bankrupt if I had to pay every time
Similar with other trees, Dynamic CP addon can reslot as needed depending on where I ported and my selected role. I.e. I use different stars if I am in overland, dungeon as a healer next, and port to Cyrodiil afterwards without me having to remember to reset and redistribute in between. Obviously, I can do all content with same generic set of stars, but if it costs me nothing but setup addon just once and never have to worry again, that's very useful.
Without addons it's indeed probably mostly useless, if you have to go to menu manually every time anyway.
I craft about as much or even more master writs long after I reached CP3600, CP is just byproduct of making vouchersby far not worth the time to level up.
It definitely saves a lot of time and gold in long run.3 -

I stopped caring about CP long ago, they don't serve a purpose much beyond 1600. If you could slot a lot more than 4 might matter. It' is a useless system quite early on sadly.0 -

They have slowed down so much that I don't think about them any more, as it was getting to be a bit stressful always trying to increase them at the expense of just playing the game. There are still a few perks I would like to have, but for the most part I have gotten the ones I care about.0

Someone with 3600 CP will have 1600 more health, magic and stamina then someone with 2000 CP, its not much but at least it would be something.0 -

I agree with pretty much everything you said. More to the point: if you're going to have all those levels, may as well put them to use, right?
