Hello,

I didnt found an answer on forum about this.
Is it legal to use macros in PVE content only for pressing skills (without any movement or more like anti-afk)?

I do not use any third party software. My keyboard give access to this feature (razer)

Waiting for your reply

Thank you!

It’s not illegal because zenimax isn’t a government and doesn’t make their own laws.

It is against the Code of Conduct and will get you banned if detected. Any automation of gameplay, meaning any activity or movement done without you directly pressing the button, is disallowed. They’ve gone so far as to say that this includes taping a mouse button or jamming the controller sticks, in addition to all automation utilities.

Edit correcting ToS to CoC and providing quoted passage below:
5.1 You are forbidden from using any unapproved third-party applications, programs, scripts or any other game modifying mechanic used to change the game play experience on a ZeniMax game, Service, forum, or other games or services provided by ZeniMax, including the distribution of said programs via ZeniMax Services, sites, forums, communities, etc. This would include but is not limited to using or distributing speed hacks, aim bots, mouse controllers, spam bots, automated game play devices, etc. Third party applications are defined as any program, application or script written by an individual, company, corporation, or private party not employed by or contracted to perform services by ZeniMax.

Macro's don't work well in ESO is the general consensus. I've never tried it, but pretty much everyone says macro's don't work in ESO due to cast and cool down times etc.

Depends on what the Macro is set to do. If the game detects you are pushing the same combination of buttons in a specific sequence within the same amount of time within 100th of a second, the game concludes you are botting and bans you. This is because no matter how precise you are as a human being, there will always be a slight difference in timing between when you hit one button to another. If the timing is too precise being exactly the same down to the millisecond, you're basically cheating and the system picks up on it.

If the Macro is designed to display a message in line with an action, that is fine and will be allowed. Giving yourself flavor text or call outs for trials or groups is fine.

    Rule of thumb:

If we have any concern on whether or not something is allowed... it probably isn't.
