Necromancer class set stealth nerf in latest patch

The tooltip still says that you get two separate bonuses: The set "grants you Death's Favor AND for 16 seconds, increases your healing received and reduces damage" (emphasis added). They just swapped the name of the bonus that treats you as a corpse. Maybe there was an issue with the term "Beautiful Corpse" and they changed the tooltip as a quick fix? But yeah, it's confusing and should have been mentioned in the patch notes.

Unbelievable. @CameraBeardThePirate @Urvoth you see this?

Well the set already wasn't like how it mentioned in the patch notes. The U40 patch notes said this for the 5p bonus:
"Casting a Bone Tyrant ability while in combat grants you Beautiful Corpse for 16 seconds, reducing your damage by 5% and increasing your Armor by 2974, and grants up to 12% Healing Taken and reduces your damage taken by up to 12%, both of which are based on your missing Health. This can proc once every 20 seconds and is reduced by 2 seconds for each slotted Bone Tyrant ability. Casting a corpse consumer ability consumes Beautiful Corpse, treating you as a corpse."
At this point who knows what the set is actually supposed to do...

First part was leftover from original version in PTS1.

No it wasn't. The original PTS gave the named minor protection and minor resolve buffs.

    It was.

5 – Casting a Bone Tyrant ability while in combat grants you Beautiful Corpse, Minor Protection, and Minor Resolve for 16 seconds, reducing your damage by 5% and increasing your Armor by 2974. This can proc once every 20 seconds and is reduced by 2 seconds for each slotted Bone Tyrant ability. Casting a corpse consumer ability consumes Beautiful Corpse, treating you as a corpse.

The tooltip's wording is wonky right now, but the set's functionality appears intact. The beautiful corpse effect is still in place and using it does not remove death's favor. I've tested it myself just today.

Tested as well and your right it doesn't remove death's favor, but is it actually doing anything? Where is the healing/mitigation part of the set? is it hidden?

Best way to test that might be to drink a ravage health potion, proc death's favor, and compare damage ticks. Or perhaps proc death's favor, then drink the potion, and compare damage ticks both with and without death's favor.

I don't play a necromancer normally and was in need of transmutes, so I already deconned the pieces I used. I won't be able to test it myself until I get more transmutes.

    That's...disappointing if so.

And the final patch notes gave 1 generic, non-named buff that's the same as minor resolve plus debuffed your damage for 5%

They also nerfed Lasting Harm vision, and changed up quite a few others without mentioning them in any notes.. and made a typo on Magicka Reserves stating it gives +8% max magicka when it actually gives 6%.

Ninja nerfs are not appreciated, especially if its not against things that were actively a nuisance.

Apparently, the cooldown reduction part of this set is bugged as well, slotting several bone tyrant abilities changes nothing.

Tested as well, set isn't working.

Beautiful corpse works, treating you as a corpse.

Damage taken/healing received are unchanged at all health levels (in combat).

Slotting Bone Tyrant abilities doesn't reduce the cooldown of the proc effect.
    Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screwup (source: despair.com)

@ZOS_Kevin Can this set please be investigated? There's so much conflicting information and the tooltip is a mess

Can we please get a response regarding this? At least acknowledgment that it's bugged and possibly being fixed.

On PS5, damage reduction seems to be working. I let the trolls at Trollslayer Gully in the Rift beat on me for a while. Damage from the normal hits on my setup was 1517, but dropped to 1297 when at around 5% health.
