My hotbar keeps switching
It's probably me because there is so much about the combat system that mystifies me but I find that I change the hotbar choices for a new build and then enter a fight. I press some number between 1 and 5 to cast an ability only to realise that I've cast something else because my hotbar has reverted to the way it was before. Not only that but my hotbar is locked (being in combat) and I cannot change hotbars. What am I missing?
Also, why is my ultimate ability on a timer? I do the damage to build it up and then zone into the boss's den and my ultimate has gone because I didn't use it. That sucks! That really, really sucks!

Iorail✭✭✭✭I'm having this issue every time I zone into a dungeon or a zone. Gotten me killed several times over.0 -

Are you a sorcerer and have the storm calling ultimate equipped? If so, you may be inadvertently activating the ultimate which changes your hotbar skills.

It did happen on my sorcerer using the "Overcharged" (the electricity effect) ultimate. Why would activating my ultimate, accidentally or because I want to use it, change my hotbar skills? If I wanted my hotbar skills changed, I would do that before the fight. This is either a bug or a design disaster.

Raistin1✭The sorcerer's "Overcharged" ult, when active, makes you use its own hotbar. Kind of annoying, but just activate your ult and customize that hotbar, or simply deactivate your ult to switch back to your regular hotbar.Check out ESO Guide Central for great guides, tips, and info!0 -
Thankyou. At least now I know. What with the keyboard layout with the choice of only 5 abilities that I really hate with a vengeance (I know many of you like it) I feel like I'm not playing the game, ZOS is...0
