Got the classic ones and after a while, I got one I do love with seals of end. Since then, I feel no need for more.

I don't buy Crown Crates, and don't buy mounts from the Crown Store except with Crown Gems and Seals of Endeavor. All of my Crown Crates have been given to me for free by ZOS as Twitch drops, or in one case were from gifting Event Tickets to another player, or from other things such as free daily login rewards or bonuses for purchasing or prepurchasing chapters and DLCs. I've also gotten mounts for purchasing or prepurchasing Collector's Editions of Chapters and DLCs. But I don't buy a lot of Crowns to spend on Crown Crates or mounts from the Crown Store.

Note, I'm not saying I don't spend a lot of money on the game every year, because I subscribe to ESO Plus, prepurchase the Collector's Editions of the chapters, buy the Collector's Editions of the DLCs, and buy Crown packs that I use for buying the Crowns-only houses.

But what I'm saying is that you don't need to spend a lot of money to acquire a lot of mounts in the game.

Some random observations I've realized by taking the time to catalog my mounts:

I generally purposefully buy only about 1 mount a year, but some years I buy more.

Most of my mounts are from purchasing crown crates (and most of my crown crates came from crown sellers).

Mounts are a pretty common reward for pre-ordering or in the collector editions.

Only 20 out of my 87 mounts were earned directly through logging in/gameplay. That's roughly 23%. 20 is still more than I expected. 5 were for logging in.

I never actually got around to getting the antiquities mount. I thought I had, but guess not. I only need a few frags, so I'll probably go for this after the event is over.

They only gave out 1 mount for free as a login during Black Friday giveaway. This was a unique promotion that I don't remember, which is maybe why it didn't repeat.

I should pay more attention to Twitch promotions lol.

Despite purchasing a lot of crates, I only have 3 radiant apex mounts.

Summerfall was a very generous event

Anniversary 2019 had an interesting weekly structure

The White Mane Horse was the best "deal" I got on a paid mount

Those who spend money on the game, buying subs, crowns and whatnot, keep the game alive.
More earnable mounts would be cool, but over the years we got a few free mounts too, so those who have been playing this game for longer surely have a good amount of mounts without buying one single crate.
Since seals are a thing, plenty of people,myself included, where able to unlock otherwise expensive mounts too.

The endeavours are a good thing but lets be honest, you can get like 1-2 good mounts each year maximum with it.

Depends on each taste, if you mean Radiant mounts, sure, you won't get many of those per year, golden tier mounts or even apex ones, you will be able to unlock many more.

I have 6 all were free to account and I use the little gray feline always.
