Praxis: Ayleid Bookcase, Cluttered. Are there 2 versions?

Hello everyone,
on my journey to get every food recipe and furnishing plan was the praxis for the Ayleid bookcase, cluttered was one of the two furnishing plans that I didn't have. The other one being the redguard mat, desert sun.

I saw today on TTC, that there was a lot of ayleid bookcases and was very happy and could actually buy one for 5 million gold. In the hectic I didn't look and bought it right away just to see afterwards that I canÄt learn it because my character already knows it. It caught me by surprise because I was sure, that I scanned all furnishing plans carefully and wrote down the ones that I didn't have accordung to the ESO Master Recipe List and Character Knowledge addons.
After a short researched I discovered that there are 2 furnishing plans for the bookcase with the exact same name but they look differently and also require different amount of materials to craft.
So my question is: Does anyone know that there are really two bookcases with the same name that one require or is one of them just datamined information and doesn't exist in the game?
I know that there are some furnishing plans, that are datamined through the addons but don't exist anymore or didn't exist at all like:

- Alinor Painting, Unfinished (Unknown)
- Common Campfire, Outdoor (New Life Festival)
- High Isle Trapdoor, Turquoise (Unknown)
- Witches Brazier, Primitive Log (Witches Festival)
- Witches Totem, Antler Charms (Unknown)

Is the bookcase like the ones that I mentioned?

I also attached some screenshots. Like you can see I have the thicker and shorter bookcase. The other one looks taller and narrower. Does anyone have both or the taller one?
Should I continue my search or can I see it as attained?

I hope there are some collection enthusiast like me that can help me so that I can sleep peacefully.

There are two different versions (you can see both in the Crown furnishings), one tall and one short, but it sucks that both furnishing plans were given the same name!

So that I understand right: One can require both of them? That I would look further for the other one.

Yes, they are two different furnishings. If you look at your uploaded screenshots again, you’ll see that one bookcase is short and the other tall. (I was looking specifically for this since I’m familiar with the Ayleid bookcases through the Crown furnishings and knew there are cluttered variations of both heights. And I recall that both the short and tall variations available crafted from guild traders.)

So I checked the Tamriel Trade Centre website and it shows the taller one being called a bookcase and the shorter one a bookshelf, yet I can see in your screenshots that they are both called bookcase, despite the different images, so I am confused.

I further did searches for each praxis (looking at PC NA since that’s the server I’m on) and the bookcase has several listings at over 20 million while the bookshelf has none at all. Now that is hardly definitive evidence for a rare plan, but it makes me wonder whether the smaller one is in fact erroneously listed with the same name (both called a bookcase, as in your screenshots).

Edit: Further, of the two potential crafted furnishings, there were only listings for the Ayleid Bookcase, Cluttered. If I were in game I could check the traders, whether they were all the tall furnishing or if some were tall and some short. So I think there’s an error in the naming of the short one, which is supposed to be called a bookshelf.

Hey, thanks again for the detailed input. I could sadly find only one listing that was actually still there and it tis the same one that I have but I could keep on looking for it and maybe I'll find the other one. On the EU server there are also listings of the bookcase but none of the bookshelf. The thing is I can#T even search for the bookshelf in game. It is only on TTC for some reason. I didnt come across the bookshelf in its crafted form either. I#m seraching for all ayleid items just to be sure.

Maybe @ZOS_Kevin or someone else can help us or report it actually as a bug so it gets fixed?

So it seems that the furnishings are named correctly but there is a error in the name of what should be the “Ayleid Bookshelf, Cluttered” praxis (going by OP’s screenshots) and for some reason, all of the results on TTC appear to be called the “Ayleid Bookcase, Cluttered”, regardless of which furnishing or praxis they actually are. 🤔

Someone on PC should confirm this because I am on PS, but yeah it’s probably due to the add-on.

Have you seen this thread? Looks like there might have been changes in U40 that consoles do not have yet so maybe it’s not the add-on after all.

I have no idea. I’m a big fan of “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”

We certainly have more pressing issues that need to be fixed than spend time doing things like that.
