Strange email from ESO

I do not play actually ESO due to health issues. Even if my sub still run -still 146 days--, i log once a month to check if all is good, but as i do not play, i dont buy crowns or crates
Though you sent me an email thanking me for buying 5500 crowns on October 17.

After checking, this operation appears no where in the billing history, and my credit card has not (happily) be used

I will remove the bank info on the account until i come back to avoid any issue of fraude (not on your part, nor mine but in case of third party trying to do something)

Do not click any links in that e-mail, it could have been a phishing e-mail(probably is). If you did click any links in that e-mail, log into the official website and change your password. Or just change your password anyway to be 100% sure. But only through the official website.

If you ever get strange e-mails, go directly to the official website of the main company. Never click any links in the e-mail.

PS: Personally I never click any links in any e-mails.

Log into your account on Elderscrolls online website. See if the crowns are there. If they are, it is legitimate. If they are not, then it is a scam.

Do not worry i did not click and i never do it (i am well informed as husband is tech support programer and i hear very often about the fishing and even now .exe mails). I just looked at the email sender and strangely it was the same email as legitimate mails

As for the crown, i still have the 255 left from before but nothing more, and bank has not been debited.

Though, the mail mention mention my credit card and the last four digit of it, so i would really understand. Did ESO recently change the way they present their email when you buy crowns ?
(this one present like a bill with tax and total)

The last time i bought crowns was in May

So if its fishing, then this means that ESO have a problem as i only use that credit card for the game and it appears on the email

This is really weird, especially as it was the same address as the official emails. I hope it wasn't a phishing attempt, OP. Tagging @ZOS_Kevin, they may want to know about this.

personally, i use a debit card that requires me to add cash to it. even if someone gets that card, it leads nowhere because it's broke. No money on it unless i am buying something. OP is wise to not store any bank cards online with any company.
