So most people will have at least 1 almost full stack or even more.
The point is: people will have a lot of them, so who will actually need to buy more ? I mean maybe after like half or one year demand will actually start existing again but I guess it will be less valuable than weapon & armour upgrade materials.
Edit: If I could, what I would advise to do is to do all of the Jewelry Master Crafting writs before the next update, as Blue ones are (apparently) just gonna be deleted from the game and will disappear from your inventory and the purple & gold ones are gonna give significant less writ voucher currency.
blue ones will just disappear ?
No, they don't. I've taken a character from Live, who had a blue jewelry writ, that got copied to PTS. Did the writ, and got the full vouchers for it.
The OP and a few other posts are filled with tons of misinformation and false statements.
That explains why blue jewelry writs are suddenly going for 3-5K, when before you couldn't even sell them for 100 gold.
i have crushed thousands of these--- seeing them for 10-15k now
Yes started saving them once I read about the changes.xilfxlegion wrote: »xilfxlegion wrote: »Tommy_The_Gun wrote: »After next update those platings will be worth almost close to nothing vs what it is worth now. One thing you do want use up before the change is go out and use up all jewelry surveys, and refine all the dust as you want as much ancient grains and plating as possible.

No. The drop rate is similar enough on PTS that the chance appears unchanged.
Refine 2k dust now and get 10 grains; those 10 grains become 10 platings next update.
Refine 2k dust after the update and get 10 platings directly.
Obviously the actual number varies with RNG, but with the same chance to get the upgrade mat, it won't matter in the end.Yes started saving them once I read about the changes.xilfxlegion wrote: »xilfxlegion wrote: »Tommy_The_Gun wrote: »After next update those platings will be worth almost close to nothing vs what it is worth now. You don't want to do your surveys now unless you want to miss out on the fix to Plentiful Harvest. If you do your surveys now, you will miss double procs you otherwise would have gotten with that star.
Plentiful Harvest currently gives 0% chance of a double proc at Stage 1 and 40% at Stage 5. It will give the correct values next update (10% at Stage 1 up to 50% at Stage 5).
And it looked like I was incorrect here, yes pretty obvious then I think about it.Holycannoli wrote: »Will that make a difference? Will refining dust after the patch give you less overall platings than it does now?

Oh good. I was really not looking forward to having to spam all my surveys before the update. Thanks for this info Virtus

SilverBride wrote: »SilverBride wrote: »I suspect that Chromium platings will go for what Chromium Grains are now, once the initial fluctuation has subsided, because that is basically what they are. And that is way more than 10k.
The screenshot shows plating going for 375k. Divide that by 10 and you get 37,500. That is more the price you will see for the new platings. At least on PCNA.
lets think we get 1 grain from a daily writ right now and we need 40 to gold a piece. After the update we get 1 plating and need 8 to gold a piece. The logic is that we will gold 5x more stuff, then we pay 1/5 of the base price. 1/5 of 50k will be 10k. But of course it will take some time so the price drop down that much
We don't know what the drop rate of the new platings will be. It may be the same as grains are now but I suspect it will be lower. Also, as an active trader, I'm not lowering my prices that much and I seriously doubt others will, either. Especially when you compare these to tempering alloys and dreugh wax. These sell for 40k plus so why should platings be that much lower?
