Returning Player, Mag DK

Hello, I'm turning my first character who is now my crafter into a magdps thanks to that armory station. I wana go mag DK but i'm a bit behind the loop since I came back recently from a 2 years break.

What kind of sets could be used to get into vet dlc dungeons and normal trial? I have checked a few websites and there are a lot of options but I don't know what would be the best pairing.

What I have in my bank currently:

Kjalnar nightmare 2pc

Orders Wrath body

Briarheart weapons and jewelry

Storm Fist 2pc

a few pieces of Mothers sorrows

a few pieces of burning spell weaves

open to suggestions!

What I'm looking for is a setup to go farm dungeons for upgrades.

I'm just making a Mag DK myself, and I'm going with a fire/dot build. Am having a ton of fun running Grothdar, Sul-Xan's torment (Medium set from Rock Grove), and mother's sorrow right now, but I'm going to eventually swap mother's sorrow for flame blossom (Pillar of Nirn is getting nerfed) or Runecarver from the Scrivener's Hall.

For trials, I would probably run Azureblight instead of Sul-Xan's for minion-heavy encounters and Relequen for single target focus encounters.

If the trial group is sweaty and they want support DPS, this setup would also be good to use with Zen's Redress, and maybe swap out Grothdar for Encrantis.

Using what you have, kjalnar + orders wrath + pillar (falkreath hold). Then swap orders wrath to relequen or ansuuls or whorl when you get into trials.

Using just what you have, I would go bsw Orders Wrath Kjalnar for farming. Replace bsw with Pillar, and do some craglorn normal trials to get either whorl or coral or relequen for your trial set. Farm kilt and Mora's whispers and sea serpent coil mythics and pick up one piece slimecraw.

Aim for either 6 medium 1 light or 5 medium 2 light.
