SUGGESTION re: Overland Set Item drops.

You know, the way that Set Item drops all come from different sources...

- Delve bosses drop Shoes or Belts
- Public Dungeon bosses drop Shoulders, Gloves, Weapons
- World Bosses drop Hats, Chests, Legs, Weapons
- Dolmens or equivalent (Abyssal Geysers, Elsweyr Dragons, Harrowstorms, Oblivion Portals to the Atoll of Immolation, Volcanic Vents, Bastion Nymic) drop jewelry

and regular Treasure Chests can drop *anything*, but non-curated...

...What happens when one of the sources is missing? All of the Small DLCs lack Public Dungeons, and several of them lack an equivalent of Dolmens.

Orsinium/Wrothgar (Large DLC) lacks Dolmens, so the Jewelry can be hard to find. The same is true of Morrowind/Vvardenfell. And, indeed, of Coldharbour.

Hews Bane, Gold Coast, Clockwork City, Murkmire all lack both Public Dungeons *and* Dolmen-equivalents.

South Elsweyr (Dragons), Markarth/The Reach (Harrowstorms), Deadlands (Oblivion Portals) and Galen (Volcanic Vents) all have the Dolmen-substitutes, but lack Public Dungeons.

So... (1) Where do Shoulders and Gloves drop, in the zones that lack Public Dungeons: and (2) where do Rings and Amulets drop, in the zones which lack Dolmen-equivalents?

Should it, in fact, be the case that the various sources are reassigned - e.g. if there are no Public Dungeons, then Delve Bosses could drop shoulders and gloves as well as shoes or belts: and if there are no Dolmens, then World Bosses could drop jewelry too?

Since there are Delves and World Bosses in every zone.

August patch reworked the drop for Hew's Bane and Gold Coast to fix this problem. An experiment, I guess.
I hope that experiment will be successful and other zones with similar problems will be the next.

Current variant of Gold Coast drop dissonate with big zones. It looks misleading when Gold Coast world bosses drop curated jewelry items but Auridon world bosses do not. It is not good, but I guess it is better then another obvious variant: copying the drop of dolmens and PD to other sources, which makes them just useless in drop map.

Let's hope that devs will apply that new scheme to Coldharbor, Murkmire etc soon.

Hm, interesting. I discovered that, in Hews Bane at least, the WBs have Shoulder pieces added to their pool of drops, and the Delve bosses can drop Gloves as well as Boots and Belts. Which makes up for the lack of Public Dungeons (since World Bosses could already drop weaponry anyway.)

I am not sure about Jewelry, but if Gold Coast world bosses can drop it, then I assume Hews Bane world bosses can also drop rings and amulets. However I was unable to confirm this because I already had all the jewelry items from both Syvarra's and Bahraha's sets in my stickerbook.

It would make sense for this to be extended to Clockwork and Murkmire (which are both lacking in both Dolmens and Public Dungeons). And indeed for (a) any other zone lacking Public Dungeons, to add gloves to Delves and shoulders to World Bosses, and (b) any other zone lacking an equivalent of Dolmens, to add jewelry to World Bosses.

Iirc the patch dealt with the different armor weights (heavy, medium, light) in Gold Coast and Hews Bane and jewelry. All the armor weights will now drop from the world and delve bosses.

Edit: I was mistaken jewelry was included.

chests will always have all items, but in a non curated fashion

also another mention of zone is cyrodiil, while they added more items to the overland drop pool there, the only sources of curation are dolmens and delves, which cover 4 items (belt/boot/necklace/ring)

every other source of the drops (chests, repeatable quest boards, and town quests) all give uncurated gear

It's already a thing that WBs drop things if a zone has no public dungeon or world events like geysers, been like that a while. In Hew's bane some set pieces are only obtainable though heists, and it's not curated sadly.

Please read this, search "Hew’s Bane". It is really good news.
I was able to complete my Hew's Bane collection last week because of it.

Yes, patch helped a bit, but Cyrodiil sets weapon are still pure random, which is pain. It really needs further changes.

Also... The new Cyrodiil monster-masks and shoulder pieces NEED TO BE CURATED. (So do all the other grab-packs at the Elite Vendor. And the counterpart in Imperial City, for Tel Var stones.)

50k Alliance Points is a LOT to waste, seven times over, on trying to get the "Colovian Mercenary" heavy armour hat, and only getting duplicates of the light and medium. Thats 350k alliance points I'm never going to see again.

Honestly I don't know why they even bother with the distinction anymore... Just let everything drop everything from a zone and make it all curated. Its not like any of the zone drops are BiS for anything anymore. The only people that want them are "completionists" and if they want to sit in the same delve and kill the same boss with a 5 minute timer to get all the set pieces then let them.
