✭It depends on the skill level and how optimized they are for PvP.
If you are talking about the best players on a fully min-maxed build the Vamp will win because Undeath makes it even harder to finish someone off that is pushing the game to the limit and the WW's kit can end up being a bit limiting at times.
If you are talking about grabbing a group of random players the WW will likely win because the WW kit is innately decent at PvP.1 -
DTStormfox✭✭✭✭✭VampiresTeam vampires will win because even when they are not using their ultimate transformation, they benefit from vampire passives, allowing for stacking their vampire passives with all other passives whilst also being able to use their class'/weapon'/etc. active abilities; while Team werewolves is forced to transform into werewolf form to get benefits from the werewolf passives, and are forced to use werewolf active abilities.Edited by DTStormfox on August 12, 2023 9:40AM0

✭VampiresMy heart says Werewolves, but my brain knows it's Vampires, and it's not even close to even.
Vampires are basically free passives on a standard PVP build, and that gives so much extra versatility that Werewolves don't stand a chance. When you add the fact that active skills can just be slotted and they don't need to transform it's a runaway victory. Class doesn't have good mobility? Use Mist Form. Tanky but your damage isn't great? Slot Blood Mist. Still hitting like a wet noodle but you have a boat load of health? Slot Eviscerate.

I used to see werewolf packs running around and couldn't be killed and were just killing everyone who was not a werewolf. I think those builds were dropped for the even more God mode Dragon knights and wardens. Those two classes can everything better than ever other class and all at once.3

Other than that Vampire will win, Vampire stage 3 is meta and stronger than mortal/untransformed werewolf and transformed werewolf is much weaker than mortal and an rp meme/handicap. I see a werewolf maybe once every few weeks, probably most of the time there is not a single werewolf in all campaigns(Cyrodiil+IC) and battlegrounds on PC EU, while I see even the most unpopular class(necro) multiple times a day.0 -

Most players dont use vampire for skills but for undeath passive and maybe for invisible sprint/300 wpn dmg out of stealth. Even vampire transformation is stronger and more used than werewolf transformation, It gives half a destroultis dmg for 20 second, 20% of your dmg as healing and 10k extra of each attribute leading to an increase in dmg and survivability while werewolf transformation heavily decreases both your dmg and your survivability. Even during the patch where people saw werewolf packs running around I rarely saw a werewolf.

✭✭✭✭✭VampiresI'm biased in that a love playing a vampire, but I did play with both skill lines in the current meta and... vampires 100%.
Werewolves suffer from sustain issues, and while they might hit incredibly hard if they don't kill their target quickly they will burn out. If they're built to not burn out they'll lack the necessary damage to probably close the fight.
Vampires also benefit from normal abilities and the versatility of two bars. A proper vampire build will also have infinite sustain for as long as they have constant healing making up for the Blood for Blood costs. Also the vampire ultimate on its own is stronger than the werewolf form. While it only lasts 20 seconds (technically shorter since you're stun locked going into and out of it) it can deal devastating damage and reset a fight going sideways (especially on a Dragon knight with Battle Roar)

Udrath✭✭✭✭VampiresI’ve never had sustain problems or with damage on werewolf. Wretched vitality+imperial+shapeshifter chain you should never be in a bad spot. Plus in CP the foresight passive is a must if you really need to spam the heal.
My only problem is I have to slot a bow for expedition. Damage is still good but could be better with DW. Without major expedition I just get dog piled lol
If you can get good playing a werewolf in the current meta, and when you switch to a different class, it’s a lot easier that’s for sure. Learned a lot playing werewolf for like a year straight.Edited by Udrath on August 13, 2023 11:57PM0 -
