I can't stand the new arcanist class

Actually, they did adjust beam brightness down massively, so that's incorrect to say they didn't.

Just because some carry on with absolute vitriol about it, doesn't mean there are people who really love the class.

You're going to have to learn to live with it, as life isn't built around your reactions.

    Greetings,

As we've removed a few non-constructive comments around baiting, please remember that while it’s all right to disagree or even debate with each other, provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community.

    Thank you for your understanding.

As for the green swirly crap, that's just a you thing.

It's not. Numerous people, myself included, have made a lot of complaints about the arcanist, because it's so bad it's actually a health issue for some of us.

I don't like the arcanist spells, because they are literally causing me pain and discomfort.

That sucks but don't play the game if it causes you pain and discomfort to see a specific class's abilities.

And i just want to point out how bad it really is that when i do ask in a dungeon, NICELY, to please don't do that and i'm ignored i may choose to leave the dungeon. Recently i ran away from a boss fight and the person i asked to not do that chased after me to harass me some more. And it's not the first time either that people shout about how offended they are that someone has a disability and bullies them in whatever means is available. In this case it was spamming said effect on me as i was leaving the fight to go hide in the corner. That takes a special kind of cruelty for sure to go after someone and pound on them some more as they are trying to flee.

I was not there, so I am not trying to downplay your expierence, but this sounds like a pretty intense reaction to something thats's not really avoidable in the long run.
Running after people and spamming them with spells/effects is annyoing, especially after asking them to stop, yes.
But calling it cruel and "trying to flee" from it is a tad much, no?

Like, if it's a random group, and theres a arcanist healer for example, there's pretty much no way of not being affected by the spells and colours of their abilites, short of not being healed and possibly dying.

I'm sure it can feel like this, but do you really think this is what goes through peoples minds when randomly spamming spells in a dungeon?

I am not trying to make fun of or downplay your experience because I have run into players being annoying for no reason but... I have to ask... how hard is it to get away from a random person? I mean you say they followed you when you ran away but why not just port to a random zone... they'd have no idea what zone you went to.

Honestly, if someone whispered me to stop using Arcanist skills truthfully I wouldn't... I would just let them get really far ahead of me if it's a public dungeon or a delve and if it is something else like World Boss or World Event I would probably just keep using the skill but I'd apologize later. Can't really swap abilities in combat so I have to use them.

I'm sorry you experience issues with Arcanist and the green color and effects, that really sucks but if it affects you that much maybe you should take some time off from the game until ZOS does something about it. Happy adventuring.

I've recently returned to the game, haven't bought Necrom and haven't tried the arcanist firsthand.... but I did encounter one in a dungeon and man, those were some obnoxious visuals. At first I thought they were the enemies VFX, since they were so prominent, but nope.... just the arcanist. I'm especially not a fan of the neon green squiggly line VFX, no idea what skill that is. They just seem to be overall very ugly and intrusive compared to the other abilities in game, and I for sure will never be playing one.
Still, what bothers me even more is sorcerer pets. I've been avoiding using my matriarch since playing again because I don't want to deal with her massive size, hideous purple that clashes with everything around me, and constant flapping (I have mild misophonia and she can trigger me sometimes, especially when standing still near her). I feel like having her out will make me regret getting into ESO again, as wild as that sounds.

when they chase you down as you run away, it certainly is not random

i am only playing the healer class. even if i use dual wield or 2h i still have an armament of healings and buffs and i alawys group as healer.

i ran away specifically from the offending person who refused to stop and tormented me on purpose. stop trying to gaslight me into believing some alternate rationale. when the desire is to be cruel to others, it shows itself soon enough.

YOu know, i have not heard of this before but that sure sounds awful. I'll be sure to run dungeon without those flappy things. I'll have to see what else i can come up with for sorc healer. Sorry for your experience with that.

The high saturation green effect is disgusting, and that's why i don't like arcanist.

I used to play on an old PC and the graphics card couldn't cope so it was all flashy and difficult to see what was going on.

Now on Xbox it has all turned green at dolmens, and again its difficult to see what's going on, so I feel quite at home.
