It's completely different from FFXIV's summoning based Arcanist; the only things they have in common are the books that both use.
As for the green swirly crap, that's just a you thing. And it's more of a neon green, not lime.

Yeah, that's the meaning that's best known. But the term itself just means someone who has, or professes to have, some kind of secret knowledge. Apparently the secret to making "fine china" was pretty special.
Greetings,
After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic.
Thank you for your understanding.
Well for PVP there a good addition to the game. There shield are overpowered will be toned down eventually and we have something nice added to PVP for once again. Make necro's better and PVP will be bit more exciting.

The first couple o weeks were annoying, though. But ZOS significantly toned down the visuals and it is fine ever since. Actually, this was a rare case of ZOS immediatly reacting to customer feedback.

@Zodiarkslayer There has been no toning down on their visuals. None. The only change to Arcanist visuals is slowing down the spinning of crux and making them go away after a bit instead of staying permanent.
All the bright beams that covers people's screens remain the same.
