I always feel bad when I'm fighting an Overland Boss with some nearby randoms and I'm able to pop a barrier and keep myself alive easily, meanwhile the guy to my left and right are absolutely demolished because it can't even help them. I can understand it not working on non-group members in PvP for group stacking reasons, buuuut why not make it work again on Overland PvE?

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

✭✭✭✭✭I agree with OP. I quit using Barrier a long time ago when it went from 'allies' to 'group members'. Same with several sets including Earthgore and Winter's Respite.
If it is a PvP thing, then use Battle Spirit as necessary. Returning these skills/sets to helping allies in PvE hurts absolutely nothing and simply increases the number of worthwhile sets/skills. ✭I love my winter's respite Templar healer, but the whole core of the build is dependent on things that can only work in group settings and that is super disappointing. it was definitely for cyro balance, but all it did was weaken ungrouped zergs and did nothing to ball groupsplays PC/NA
