He uses a flame staff on the front bar and currently a resto staff on the back just to level up those skills. I will be going to Dual Wield as soon as the last resto staff skills are maxed, because the last passive in Dual Wield is crit damage focused.
For now this is a one-bar build. He currently is using Escalating Runeblades IV, Recuperative Treatise IV, Flame Clench IV, Force Pulse IV and Flame Pulsar IV with the Tide King's Gaze IV ultimate. My back bar is just for leveling up skills.
I'm mostly doing overland quests, delves, dolmens and public dungeons, but this guy melts every enemy very easily. I have spammed Runeblades a lot with no trouble getting crux, but have noticed it's harder to get three quickly lately, but then I'm not really using the crux feature much. Perhaps I will once all the skills I want to level get to max.

the stam morph of flail will reliably still give me 1 crux when i use it to start combat
the mag morph is a crux consumer instead of crux generator (they had the mag morph and were using runeblades for the crux generator)
me personally, i liked the look and handling of runeblades, but i did not like how weak it felt, and the fact its largely single target

Now I'm confused again. I use the stam morph of flail and it does not generate crux for me when I use it to initiate combat.

Having to constantly maintain crux just to be effective in combat is annoying. Plus, the class feels real squishy. Perhaps things will change when I hit 50 and can equip some decent dungeon gear.
And, yes, I notice that runeblades does not always generate crux.
