ZOS - you *want* to swap paying customers OUT for f2p's??!?

I have no idea what you were thinking with the implementation of a free client promo on Epic, coupled with free trial ESO+, coupled with a Zenithar event... if this is truly the cause of excessive load on the servers, then you have UTTERLY failed to plan appropriately for your marketing project here.

I'm all for growing the player base, but the net effect of this absurdity is already becoming clear - you are pushing long, long, term paying customers out to other gaming alternatives, in favour of what will surely be largely transient f2p players... what is your conversion rate going to be? 10% if you're really lucky?

You need to take IMMEDIATE action to remedy this - an "all call" (weekend or no, doesn't matter) for your whole team, rapid deployment of additional server hardware resources, in short - whatever it takes.

You are already on the cusp of the release of some serious contenders game wise for customers attention... if this continues, you very well could have started the domino chain that effectively ends ESO.

I as an anecdotal example, have very limited time to game in a given week - I cannot spend it sitting in a queue... and hour to an hour and a half to even get into the game... then another hour to get into Cryo? That IS the sum total of my available time... I have no choice but to look elsewhere to enjoy some gaming relaxation.

Their marketing plan was fairly simple. They thought they could get away without paying the extra for more server capacity. They were wrong and now it backfired. New players will stop playing and quit while existing ones are starting to cancel their subscription. A lesson for the future ZO$. Grasp all, lose all.

as if ZO$ ever learns from their colossal screwups
Hail fishers of Tamriel! Tired of herring about these boring guilds? Ever thought of reely getting the Master Angler achievement but find it too tedious to tackle it alone, or just wanting to fish for the heck of it? Well stay shark cause <Angler Management> is now recruiting fellow fishers! (PC EU) PM in game for an invite

If you are playing 2 and a half hours a week, don't even bother with an MMO or any games in general. The pac man days of finishing a level or two and logging off are long gone, nowadays video games are all time sinks

My nephew convinced 2 of his friends to start playing this game on PC EU and the queue was 2 hours for them... Guess what, they're not going to wait that long in order to login!! What a wasted opportunity to not prepare for this with more server capacity.

The thing is all those new EPIC players are probably only level 10-20 by now so would not have seen any benefit from either the ESO Plus free trial or the Zenithar event.

I think some people forget how long it takes to level up when you're on a brand new account starting from scratch with no gold, training gear and mythic pots etc.

I remember in FFXIV, when PS4 version of the game was released, all PS4 players were put on PC servers. For around 2 weeks, game lagged so bad it was a turn-based mode in combat, making dungeons impossible. I dont know if they added servers, or people just quit, but eventually lags ended.
