Are DKs still OP in PvP? Did another class take its place?

Hi everyone,

Basically just wanna know whether PVP has become a bit more balanced in the last few patches or whether there's no point for returning into PvP yet. I've quit PvP specifically because I was tired of being subpar on both Sorc and Templar which are my most favorite classes, and in case there has been no change, I probably won't be re-subbing and playing for a while longer.

I've had much success this patch and last patch with Sorc and Templar.

I recommend thinking outside the box when building your character. Jabs are not worth it any more.

Check out Deltia's Templar builds, he ditched the jabs but his builds are very durable and do a ton of dmg.

Sorcs don't have a ton of staying power, you have to prioritize positioning and range above everything else, otherwise you'll burn.

You can make sorc and templar work. DKs probably are still at the top wth maybe just less due to people playing their Arcanist. Really can get hard to tell as it seems a lot are just doing vate frost, master DW builds.

DK, Warden and NB are the kings. The other classes were forgotten long time ago.

Sorc need better heals, necro needs a complete boost in damage but they have good tankyness in general, and templars need a really big boost on damage and nerf the execute and in term of tankyness templars are doing ok.

Idk about arcanist tbh.

Me too with my templar but we know that if we were playing DK we will be by far much better and with less effort, sad reality

According to some people DK is not that strong, because their ultimate is expansive

the ultimate in question:

To put it simply: If you're a stage 3 vampire > the direct damage part of lava whip can deal from 9k to 12k damage/hit
to put in a different way: you get hit by the dots > Light attack > 1 lava whip > Light attack > dk stuns you > lava whip once again and you're basically utterly not alive.

9k to 12k is pretty low for corrosive whips tbh.
I've been hit with up to 20k by DKs building for corrosive.
