He has a Minor Vulnerability debuff that lasts 49,710 days. Which is a little over 136 years.

It is just a visual bug as a result of an integer underflow. It should definitely be fixed, but it doesn't actually cause any gameplay effect.

    Ah, that's... Concerning.
Any hint as to where it came from or when it first appeared?

49710 is a memory address stack buffer overflow value.

It's a code bug that they have known about for years, but have never fixed.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. A few patches ago the same thing was happening with the burning status effect. Not sure if you would actually take additional flame damage, but it did proc sets like Trial by Fire.

Sometimes you have to break free constantly, or just be stun immune all the time... It can definitely be annoying, just like all the other bugs that will never be fixed (sprint bug where you can not sprint anymore, combat bug where you can't get out of combat, stamina bug that drains stamina for no reason and your stam recovery is zero, and and and...)

At least you can get rid of the 49.000 day debuffs by entering a delve or Cheesemonger's Hollow (where you can test the hammer).

Yes, it's a UI bug in most situations, but there are cases where the actual debuff itself remains active. Which is why ZOS modified the Pain's Refuge CP passive, as players were collecting these 49,710 day debuffs and not camping or zoning, so they could have perma-20% damage reduction.

Sustained by Suffering and Survival Instincts
That’s 150 Tri-Recovery and 20% cost reduction up for 100% of the time.

IN CAPS FOR A REASON  IT IS NOT A VISUAL BUG!

Beyond tired of arguing with folks (mainly pc) lol they think its the burning visual bug.

This is a new bug that actually does what it says to the player&sometimes debuffs stack on top of each other.

This is how to tell the two apart, one will have (no words) at all, and the other as displayed above will tell say something under the permanent effect
-tnt please stop saying this is just a visual because it basically sweeping it under a rug for the devs to not fix, which why it has not been fixed YET

I can confirm what you are saying I have video evidence to support it as well.

If somehow these permanent debuff are acquired it can stop animations all together and have zero ability to do anything or hit any1 in PVP without breaking free or roll dodging.

Sometimes about 1 out of 10 deaths for me, I will not be able to heavy attack, roll dodge, or break-free because of the constant unpurgeable debuff effects. Which then will just make any OP build your running just garbage..

So since pt 35 maybe before it's been like this with the non-visual bug debuffs. However, it wasn't until most recently these effects started occurring more often.

in multiple instances ive had all of these at one time...

each line is one instance/ time I've had all at once in PVP

backstab X3 stack(1 of those didn't have text only a visual)
minor vulnerability x2 (one being a visual)
crippling grasp x 4 (1 was a visual the other were debuffs)
minor brittle x 3(2 were a visual bug)
increase dmg by 10% from players debuff x 2 ( one being a visual)
Streak permanently stunning( had no ability to attack players, couldn't break free my character was spazzing out while trying to kill the foe who caused it.. <----Since this one-time I've really been focusing on catching these in the act so they can be fixed)

which reason they aren't noticed as much is that we're already dead lol the game will then remove the majority of debuff leaving only the visual

I didn't proofread got an IRL matter to attend, I hope @Moderator 's see this and fix it this patch.

Will be happy to assist with finding fixes and solutions to why it may be happening.

It only happened once to me, but the Conduit synergy became a "perma-synergy". Had to log-off to get rid of it.

well that rules out addons then. IDK what could cause this.
